    Makes an okay backup
The kit came well packaged with a custom foam insert. Besides the camera itself, also included was a wide angle (labeled as “Macro”) lens attachment, 32GB micro-SD card, USB-A to micro-SD card adapter, two batteries, one double battery charger, lined pouch, lanyard, lens cloth, quick start guide, and instructions. The instruction book is quite thick but that is because it duplicates all the instructions in 7 languages: English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Chinese, and Dutch, in that order. The instructions are pretty good even with the occasional translation error. They have good photos, screen grabs, and illustrations which convey each point being made. Virtually all the modes, settings, and features are covered. The first feature that I liked is the double slot charger. I really appreciate the ability to charge two batteries at the same time. The bright LEDs for each slot turn from red to blue when fully charged. I also like the included 32GB micro-SD card with adapter which keeps me from having to plug the camera directly to the PC (unless you want to use it as a web-cam which is another handy feature). The camera has most of the standard options and settings as most other cameras with photo and video capabilities. You can set the resolution for both (more on that later) in the menus. Speaking of the menus, I discovered that you need to be in the same mode as the setting you want to adjust. In other words, I had to rotate the mode wheel to “Video” (movie camera icon) to adjust that resolution. You cannot access that adjustment while in “Photo” mode (still camera icon). The “Interval and Time Lapse” modes allow adjustments for interval timing and duration both up to 4K. The slow motion, which is limited to 1080p 4X & 2X, and 720p 8X & 4X. All of the modes have basic adjustments like image rotate, white balance, exposure, and filters to name a few. There are far too many to go over here.In testing, I was a little less that impressed with the resolution, especially in video. The 4k did not seem to be as sharp as I was expecting. I got this to capture alternate stationary camera angles while capturing the primary footage with a gimbal. The problem is that I need the 4k in order to be able to “zoom in” for reframing in post. I was thinking that the lens may be lower quality, but I acknowledge that I may have to tweak the settings more.Speaking of the lens, the camera description says it comes with two lenses but this camera does NOT have interchangeable lenses, only lens attachments that thread onto the fixed, existing lens. They do seem to be of decent quality but the one labeled “macro” does not seem to act like a typical macro lens. I also did not see much of a wide angle in that configuration. Lens covers are included for both sides of the attachment but not for the main lens itself. I thought that was an unfortunate oversight. The overall fit and finish is fair to middling that I would expect for this price point. My basic theory behind the pink coloring had to do with my use plan. Keeping it on the periphery of the action where I may not have a constant eye on it, people tend to not place much value on bright colored equipment. They tend to dismiss such items as low value toys, as opposed to plain black items which look more expensive. I would consider that another feature.All-in-all, this would be a decent item for a beginner or first camera for an older child exploring photography.

    My excitement waned quickly
It has been years since I’ve had to operate a manual camera that’s not a cell phone, so I’m admittedly out of practice. I read the basics in the manual to get the camera set up with the SD card and battery and got it charging right away. I was able to take both video and photos, but I cannot figure out for the life of me how to view the photos and videos that I’ve taken on the camera. I looked at the manual but there is nothing about how to view. After looking further in the manual, I realized that it is severely lacking, and I ended up having to Google more information about this camera to use it properly. I’m frustrated with the lack of information that came with this camera. So far we’ve only used it a few times and it works well, but there’s nothing remarkable about it. It takes decent pictures and decent video.

    Impressive introductory camera
I’ve been shooting all sorts of cameras since the 90’s and I’m pretty impressed with this. I got it so my 10 year old daughter could shoot with me and learn on a camera that’s not as complicated as mine. It’s been great for teaching her about how to use lighting, composition, file storage, and UI navigation. The image quality is much better than I expected and it has some nice features like being able to shoot in black and white. The built in flash is just a small hot light that’s easy to accidently block with your finger. That’s probably the biggest negative I could find with this camera. But it does have a hot shoe on top that you can rig your own hot light too.

    Surprisingly good for the price
For about $70 this camera makes some really decent photos. The photos I’ve posted here show the normal lens, the wide angle adapter and the macro adapter (taken from about 3 inches away). The focus tends to be a little soft in the edges of the frame, but that would depend on what you are shooting. There is what I would call a “viewing port” on top but it is just a little hold to give you a general idea of what you are shooting. You really need to look at the screen to see what the camera is capturing. The screen is good and bright and folds around so you can see it from the front or back of the camera. The camera comes with 2 batteries and a charger, the main “normal” lens as well as a wide angle adapter. On the back of the wide angle adapter is a thin part that is the macro adapter. if have this on the front of the normal lens and unscrew the wide angle adapter, it will let you take very close images of smaller objects. The contents also include a small soft case, a neck strap and a pretty good manual explaining the operation of the camera in several languages. I have to say that the manual is much better than the one you usually get.2 things to note: The battery is a bit hard to remove so read the manual and look for a very small latch inside the battery compartment that needs to be pressed to release the battery. Also the SD card is a bit hard to remove as well, you need to press it in with a finger nail or something similar to get it to pop out. When inserting the card, you need to press it down into the slot quite a bit to get it to lock in place.I haven’t tried the video yet but again considering the $70 price tag, as just a still camera this thing is impressive for a point and shoot camera.Added:After playing with this camera a bit more, it has some pretty nice feature. There is a menu that allows you to change several settings including the ISO, the resolution (Megapixels), the exposure and several others. It would be a great learning tool for young photographers.

    Trouble connecting to Internet.
Actually, all is fine with the camera EXCEPT that I have spent the entire day trying to connect to the Internet. Didn’t happen. I followed all of the troubleshooting but nothing works. I can’t even get into the camera app. The posted page is as far as I can get.
