Be careful when attaching this product to the main lens
This is a great product for the price. The wide angle view is slight yet doable. However, be very careful when attaching this to the main camera lens. The threads are very thin, and if forced on, you could do damage to the main lensâ threads. What I would suggest is placing a UV filter on the main lens, then attaching this product to the filter. If you do âscrew upâ, youâll only occur a loss of the filter and this wide angle lens, not the main lens. Also, if you do a total zoom out (max wide angle), you will notice a vignette. Just adjust zoom slightly to overcome this. Youâll see the vignette in your view finder.

Not worth the effort
Item received with a small chip in the edge of the lense, it does not show in photos. The effect of the lenses is minimal. My biggest issue is that when removing the lense only half of the lense unscrewed leaving the other half still attached. It will not come off. I will have to take it to the shop in fear of damaging my main lense canon 🙁 This is a very inexpensive attachment, not worth the trouble of returning (if i can get it completely off) but does stand by the “you get what you pay for”.

This works surprisingly well for under $10. I am using it on a Canon SL1 with the kit lens (58mm thread).Those who say it doesn’t fit their camera need to learn about basic photography equipment. This lens screws on to the front if your existing lens, like a filter, to widen the view.

Hard to thread but after a few trys it worked
It was hard to thread but it might have been user error I’ll admit. After a few tutorials I was able to attach it. After that I took great pics of my son’s prom.
