sleek, quiet, efficient
Feeder works as advertised & does it quietly. My dogs were curious about it, but never scared or startled. We’ve had other automatic feeders that make a ticking noise & the dogs would gather around waiting for the trap to open. This feeder will often slide to an opening without any of our dogs noticing (tho they have learned to check it regularly “just in case”).The feeder isn’t heavy & doesn’t have much rigidity, but it seems substantial.

A decent automatic feeder
I bought this for feeding canned food to my cat so that I would be “taken out of the equation” in terms of feeding (ie every time I go into the kitchen he accosts me for food). First, this Amazon feeder was easy to program – basically you are simply choosing the number of minutes between feedings – there are no other things to set. Second, it is easy enough to get the lid off for cleaning or to refill the food compartments – I don’t think that my cat would have figured out how to open it but some very food motivated pets might be able to swing it. I think this would just be trial and error for your individual pet. My biggest beef with the feeder (and this would likely be a plus for some people) was that it was TOO quiet. I was sitting 10′ away from it the first time we used it and I couldn’t even hear it rotate/open. This means that my cat wouldn’t have been able to hear it either and I need him to get to the food before my dog does. The Qpets automated feeder has a feature where you can record your voice or another sound to play whenever a new compartment opens up and I wished that the Amazon feeder had this. My cat also had a difficult time getting the food (canned or dry) out of the deep wells. I think I could have lived with this and he would likely have figured out how to more efficiently get the food out if not for the other issue I had with it. Overall though, I think that this is a good feeder for the money and depending on your household it may work just fine for you. Just wasn’t right for us.

Works really well, cat has not broken it
I use this to help my cat take her meds twice a day and it has been really great. She needs a medication every 12 hours, and sometimes I need to leave early or stay late at work, or be gone 1 or 2 nights. I was looking at a LOT of pet sitting costs. Instead, I set this for every 12 hours, put the meds in a pill pockets, put the pill/pocket in each compartment, and now my cat is trained to get a “treat” ever 12 hours whether I am home or not. The timer has worked consistly and I am very happy with battery life. My online issue is that the timer is a countdown for a certain number of hours or minutes (so 12 hours, for 24 you need to set 23.59), not a time on a clock, so you have to START the timer at the right time. Not a big deal, but I did accidentally hit a reset when refilling one time and had to wait several hours to go restart the countdown. It actually works well enough that I bought a second when I had a trip I was worried about travel delays for, and in case I did not get back in time it set my cat for 5 days – one in AM, one in PM. More than 3 or 4 is pushing it, but this was a family emergency and it was nice to know I had the option.Just keep in mind that the 6 compartments have 1 open compartment at all times, so you only have 5 timed releases and the first one is accessible.

Timer doesnât workâ¦DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY
First, who doesnât include instructions? Second, I set the timer, it opens then continues to spin for hours until battery dies. Meanwhile, my kitty is hungry. TOTAL waste of money

Worked great until it didn’t – only lasted a month or two
Well I loved this – the color is super cute (I got the mint), and it’s a basic form of a great concept. The timer was easy to set and it being battery powered was nice so I didn’t need to consider outlet placement. I used it when I went away for two days for my cat and all of the chambers that were full were empty when I returned. I considered this a success and was looking forward to using it again. So when another trip came, about a month or two later, I set up the feeder and went on my way. Thankfully this was only one overnight because despite taking the batteries out and putting them back in before this use, somehow it died and did not rotate for my cat to access the next feeding. I then tried new batteries and using it when I was home to see what was up, but the timer kept shutting off or just not working. So I’m not sure what happened, but I will not be purchasing this specific model again. Also, this might just be me, but the scheduling was interesting. This feeder has you establish at what interval you want the next food well to be opened. This went from one minute to 24 hours. This was really easy to set up and program. However, it was weird when I had to figure out the timing when one meal was only 6 hours away but the one after that was 16 hours away. The set interval would be difficult for people looking to feed more than one meal at exact times. Thankfully my girl wasn’t picky at the time so relatively close to feeding time was fine. So…I guess the TL;DR:Pros: Easy to set up, cute, got the job done (once), easy to clean, price compared to other feeders was greatCons: Didn’t work even with new batteries after one use, timer rather than specific times, large footprint because it’s a big circle.

Great little feeder
My dog get sick when her stomach gets to empty and we struggled to figure out what to do when we were at work. I looked at many feeders and read lots of reviews and settled on this one. Glad I did bc you can not beat the function for the price. Its super easy to use and set for when to open. She is a medium size dog and has no issues eating her food from the bowl opening. Its also very quiet. We were worried about the sound of it rotating bc shes scared of noises. Its super quiet but makes just enough noise that she can hear it when it opens.

This product is a great option for the price. The unit is very easy to program and clean. Gave it a test run this past weekend and my cat figured it out no problem. The trays are a bit narrow/deep, so my cat struggles a bit retrieving the last bits of kibble. Otherwise, Iâm satisfied with the purchase.

I like this dispenser. Setting the interval is a lot easier than setting six individual times. I use it to keep dry food available so no need for chilling blocks. It is quiet and unobtrusive and it is probably not beyond my ingenuity to secure it in place but this hasn’t proved necessary. No frills, a functional device. Value for money.
