Alexa, turn on the A/C
As temps are getting warmer, I’ve just re-installed a window Air Conditioner. This year however, I installed it in a different window to open up floor space for a new desk by the old window. The new location is not quite as convenient however, given some of the furniture pieces in the way. Since I have several Alexa-compatible devices, it made sense to consider an Alexa-compatible outlet. This power strip suit the bill perfectly. I’m only presently using one of the three outlets on this three-outlet strip, and in the Alexa app I’ve named that outlet “A/C”. On my window unit I set the knobs to my usual “coolness” settings, and plugged it into that outlet. The Air Conditioner now can be controlled by saying “Alexa, turn on (or off) the A/C”. It works great.I do wish the power strip’s cord were a couple feet longer. I also wish the unit could work with 5G wifi. But those two factors aside, I’m quite pleased with the purchase.

Solid and easy to use
So the set up was amazingly fasy. It has anti slip strips and two notchrs in the back to hang on a wall. The device is very sleek if you can call office beige sleek and the little green lights are not intrusive.But….it doesn’t like my fans, actually two fans.I have a remote controlled fan and and this Alexa smart power strip. The power strip lights up and Alexa will power off my fan on command. However, on the start command the proper light powers on but the fan doesn’t start. I have to press the power button on the fan.Before installing the power strip the remote worked fine. I can even use the remote if the power strip is actively on.Why doesn’t the power strip activate the fans?Shutting the plug power off seems to do a hard shut off on the fan

Works great, simple install.
I gave this four stars because of how the Alexa app does scheduling. It may be that I just donât understand, it lets you either set an off schedule or an on schedule, but doesnât seem to let you create on and off times. It installed automatically when I plugged it in. And works really well to power Christmas tree lights.

Power strip works great if you have a alexa smart home. I could program each individual outlet. The size was a little bigger than i thought it would be but it wasnt a big deal since it was out of sight.

I got this on sale so the value was perfect, the design is good and I’m glad it has a USBC and USB slot for 2 types of cables. I also like that it works with Alexa so that I can use it to turn individual plugs on and off. The size is about as expected. The USB ports work well and support fast charge cables.

Despite some of the reviews on here, set up of this plugin was easy. I had it connected to my Alexa device in minutes. (and yes, I also have an eero 6 and it works fine still despite some other reviews saying that it doesn’t)
