Easy to connect
You can find smart plugs a lot cheaper, but you give up the ease of connection if you do not use Amazon plugs. You have zero issues setting them up. In just a matter of moments you are connected to Alexa. I threw away some other plugs that I had to reconnect after electric and internet went out. Amazon smart plugs are indeed smart. They are worth the extra dollars and always work as they should.

These plugs work with Alexa. Once paired, they work seamlessly. This replaced another old school timer that needed to be reset anytime there was a power outage, for daylight savings time beginningor ending, or seasonal changes for sunset.

I rarely rate anything above a 4…. Having heard about these for a while, I decided to give them a try. I ordered 2 packs for a total of eight Smart Plugs. The setup for fairly easy using the Alexa app on my phone. You can name each device which makes remembering which plug you are speaking to via your Alexa devices. Both my wife and I really like being able to walk through the house and simply asking Alexa to turn on this light etc. It’s a guy LOL :-)A cool option with these plugs is that you can control them remotely using your phone. This saves having to set light timers when you are not home or away on vacation. You can also setup routines with these plugs. All in all, very much worth the purchase. Again, I rarely will rate anything at a 5, but these truly are a viable asset to your home or apartment.

Great Cheaper Alternative! Easy to Use! *UPDATE AFTER SOME TIME*
This plug works great! I set it up with my Christmas tree for the holidays. It was easy to set up and change the name of in the Amazon Alexa app. All I have to say is, “Alexa, turn the tree on/off” and poof… there it goes!I have one of the non-amazon basics smart plugs in my bedroom to control the lights. That plug is about $15 more expensive than this one, yet it works the same. I would 100% recommend! These plugs are life changers!My only note would be that my shipping on this specific item was pushed back multiple times and took a few weeks to get, but if you don’t mind waiting, then I’d say go for it!UPDATE**I have been using this plug for about 2 weeks or so and it has not been working correctly. I will say my usual “Alexa, turn the tree off” and it’ll have a light spinning on the alexa device for a few seconds before saying that the tree was unresponsive. I then have to unplug the smart plug and plug it back in to reset it. Pretty frustrating since it started off great.

So perfect, exactly what I wanted. Very easy to use once you get them to pair, probably just my user error, I’m not very techy. I’ve had them for months now and even moved them to different devices, no need to reprogram, just updated the name of the activity I wanted Alexa to do. I only bought 2 to try them out. I plan to get a couple more for other things in my house. You can use them with your phone Alex app or by voice with Alexa.
