Not air tight
Wish I could give 0 stars. Amico must have a completely different definition of air tight. These lights are not sealed as you can see from the pictures. Of coarse this wasnât noticed till after the return window since they were purchased in advance of being ready to install. Now I stuck with lights I canât install since these are in a ceiling that is below my attic. Thanks for the great description Amicoâ¦.appreciate selling me a product with a miss leading description. Heck it even says airtight on the box.

WARNING: Does NOT fit in a 6â hole!!!
Buy cheap, get cheap.I wanted to use these to replace 6 old work high 6â high hats which I had installed about 25 years ago and ended up paying about 3 times the cost of these and losing about 2 hours of time.PROS:InexpensiveLight Quality and adjustability comparable to others on the marketCONS:Housing easily dislodges which will potentially cause issues.Needs a hole thatâs about 5.9â in diameter meaning that itâs NOT going to be a direct replacement for a North American 6â cab whoâs is about a 6.1â holeNot sealed or airtight meaning dust, dirt and debris from the areas above will get into living spaces below as well as noise.What isnât included with these:3/8â wire grommets (some comparable products have grommits)I donât recall if I had to provide wire connectors or if wire nuts were included, but the comparable products mentioned above had push in wire connectors for sure and this product definitely didnât have them.I thought this would be a great money saver at about half the cost for 6 of these as compared to a comparable Commercial Electric or Halo product with the same general features.My first disappointment was when I put these up, into the hole and the hole swallowed it! Even the clips down didnât touch. In the words of George Carlin, it was like putting a belt onto a mouse, fell right out of the hole, or would have if Iâd taken my hand away.To make these fit I would have needed to done serious modifications as the lights were at least 1/4â too small in diameter.Then there was the issue shown in the video, in no way, shape, or form is the housing that the lights sits in secured to the body of the light.Not only are the cans NOT airtight, meaning that dust from above will just fall into your residential area from the enclosure space, but if the enclosure does come off you wonât be able to adjust the orientation of the light.
