So excited to find this!
Vegetarian collagen is such an awesome product. Hooray for not having to eat ground up beef bones for collagen! Iâve been taking this for a week so far. It dissolves easily and tastes fine. I havenât noticed any smell.

Impressed! 4 months of daily use.
I have taken this for a little over 4 months, and there is a noticeable difference in skin elasticity on my face, neck and arms. Also, I have noticed a quicker recovery time after exercising, muscles aren’t as sore, and they relax to pre exercise status quicker, yet remain firm. It’s difficult to find true vegetarian collagen protein supplements, I am very pleased with this one. I mix it into my morning coffee, which is usually Starbucks Cafee Verona black, no milk or sweetner. I like the flavor. It’s not sweet, slightly vanilla. I place the recommended 1 scoop into the bottom of my dry, empty coffee cup, then to my Keurig. It seems that the coffee, as it pours from the Keurig, helps to mix the powder, then I stir it with a spoon. I will continue to order from Amazon, the price and convenience can’t be matched. Should also note that I have Psoriatic Arthritis, and this helps a little with pain, though I would not recommend it for pain management.

Greta product, still need to try a little longer
So I bought this product because I stopped getting nail extensions and decided to grow out my natural nails. I also workout and work a lot with my hands so I figured it would also help my bones and joint support. I’ve been taking this product for 2 weeks so I’m not sure about the nail growth or bone/joint support yet, but this product has absolutely helped my gut! I take medication that tends to slow things down and was having to take fiber supplements, drink prune juice, or greens with pre/probiotics. None of that helped regulate me though. This product I mix in with my coffee every morning and I have no more issues with being backed up or feeling bloated throughout the day. I’ll edit once I’ve been on it a little longer to update about my nail, hair, and joints. So far, so good. Mild taste and mixes in well with hot beverages.

Intentionally misleading labeling – not 10 g collagen
Another reviewer has noted the nutrition facts and ingredients and how they are misleading. After evaluating it closely, I agree. The product suggests 10 g collagen peptides, which sounds like a typical collagen dose – I assume to appeal to people expecting collagen to come as a powder. However, the ingredients do not list the amount of actual collagen peptides, and if you do a little research on eggshell collagen, it is typically dosed in milligrams, not grams. Consistently with this, the label states that it contains 8 g fiber per 10 g serving, which means 80% of this is the acacia fiber âprebiotic.â While itâs not incorrect, itâs misleading, for sure. Most likely, the quantity of collagen peptides from eggshell membrane per scoop is only about 500-1000 mg. This may not be so bad, because eggshell collagen might be more easily absorbed than meat source collagen, so you may need less. But it would be better to be up front about the actual amount of collagen rather than selling acacia fiber with a small sprinkling of collagen and calling it a collagen peptides supplement. My understanding is acacia fiber has its own benefits, and the amount of collagen can still be beneficial, so there are still benefits to the product. And the taste is not that bad. But I was disappointed to learn that I had bought a big tub of fiber when I thought I was buying protein. You might consider getting eggshell membrane tablets rather than taking this powder supplement if youâre interested in a vegetarian collagen source. There are other options that are up front about how much collagen youâre actually getting.

Fraudulently Represented Product by Ancient Nutrition
I bought this product, believing each serving would contain 10g of collagen, but the truth is it is no where near that.Ancient Nutrition intentionally wants you to think that it has 10g of collagen per serving: The 10g Per Serving Collagen + Prebiotic Fiber Circle Graphic on the Front, them neglecting to even include to supplement facts label anywhere on their Amazon Page, and also misrepresenting the product on even their own Ancient Nutrition web page – advertising as of the time of this review, a mismatch between the ingredients in the product description and what is actually on the label in the supplement facts. On their own web page they list ’10g Collagen, Prebiotic and Probiotic Blend’, followed by an additional line entry of 14mg for Bacillus Coagulens (the probiotic) in the product. The actual product label reads just: ‘Vegetarian Collagen Peptide, Prebiotic, and Probiotic Blend’ in Bolded Letters (notice that Collagen is mentioned first), followed by the actual ingredients listed, in this order: Acacia Fiber, Fermented Eggshell Membrane Collagen, 2 Billion CU of Bacillus Coagulens. The supplement facts itself makes no mention of the 14mg of the Bacillus listed on their website. If you know how ingredients labels read, the first ingredient listed is the most plentiful, followed by second most, third most, etc. Since their product website does list the bacillus (the third ingredient) at 14mg (.014g) per one-scoop serving, then the second ingredient (collagen) has to have just more than the third ingredient, so lets say it could be all the way as low as .015g. This means that the acacia fiber could potentially have as much as 9.971g in one scoop. This puts the actual collagen content in a 10g scoop at somewhere between around 4.9g at most and .015g at least. Is that anywhere near 10g? No. And, my money says it’s probably closer to the lower end of that spectrum as well, due to this intential deception. It also tastes super sweet from the acacia. Why would they label and advertise the product in this way? To deceive us, and they got me. I am more familiar with other collagen and bone broth products and they will list the actual amount of collagen individually from any other ingredients in it (such as they did with the calcium in this product), including in Ancient Nutrition’s other powders, though they usually wont reveal the specific % ratios of how much of each type of collagen if it is blended from multiple different animal sources. There is no reason for Ancient Nutrition to list the prebiotic fiber combined with the collagen as just one line entry on the label, these ingredients arent alike and should be listed independently. They also intentionally mention the word Collagen first and bolded everywhere on the product, both on the front of the product, and as the category header in the supplement facts, though collagen isn’t the first and most plentiful ingredient.Maybe too much eggshell membrane isn’t really that healthy for the body, but even still this is intentional deception. And, as others have mentioned, there is a whole lot of empty space inside the jar designed to make it look like there is more product than there is. They always say they are filled by weight and not by volume, and that the product settles after being filled (which is true), but it is even more balatantly egregious here. Someone realized that these sitting in stores wouldnt move as well if the bottle was half its already smaller size, and they needed to both make the bottle larger and add a lot of filler product (acacia) to be able sell it for the high cost they command for it.
