I’ve actually been finding Andis’ quality going down in recent years, yet I decided to take a chance on these guard combs since my Wahl set hasn’t been holding up. There housing in these are plastic and the comb part is metal like Wahl but the plastic on these seem sturdier. They fit my blades securely and cut well. We will see with time if they hold up to daily use.

These work well and seem well made. They come in a nice clear plastic case, but it broke on day 1 when I dropped it. Would like a more durable case. They are a little expensive, but I don’t think there are any other options for the Andis trimmers.

Review from a new home groomer
I have a very curly goldendoodle. I bought the Andis Ultraedge clippers and they are awesome! I tried to make some plastic combs I already had work, but they struggled to move through her thick hair. Everything I read said you need metal combs for curly hair. After reading many reviews on many brands I concluded these were the only combs that were universally loved, fit right and didn’t pop off. I just wasn’t crazy about the price.Thankfully the reviews were right! These combs have a spring-like fit that does not budge!!! They work beautifully! I could not be happier.One recommendation on packaging- the card with the color coded size chart is too big to fit in the box. I trimmed a little off and now it sits in the lid for quick reference.
