Great Inexpensive Cams with lots of Features
UPDATE: Sunday, Sept 15, 2024, we received the replacement camera very quickly (within a couple days) and I finally had a chance to mount it. It works great! I’m really happy with it. Because of that and the great customer service, I feel I can now justify giving a full 5 stars. Great job Aosu!I gave the product 4 stars because I bought two cams and one cam just won’t behave on the network. However, customer service is great, troubleshooting went quickly, and a replacement is on the way.That said, the cameras were easy to set up and configure. The app is intuitive. It can seem a bit daunting when you first get into it because there are so many features, but once you start, you discover it is logically laid out making it easy to find the setting you need.The cams indeed have a lot of great features and truly great picture quality (4K is really sharp). The ability to alert when detecting movement and to track humans is really spot on. It really seems like they intelligently know the difference between moving shadows and real people. I haven’t had a false alert yet. When I watch the live feeds, I can see moving shadows of a nearby tree, but that doesn’t set off an alert. Howver, when someone is detected, it alerts immediately. I even have time to ask them questions (built in mics and speakers offer two-way communication, which is awesome)! The solar panels also keep these cams running 24-7 with zero issues.The only issue with the cam that is “defective”, is that I can’t get it to stay connected to the network. It connected fine when set up and connects easily when reset or just handled a bit (taking it off the mount and putting it back), but it simply won’t stay connected. When it is connected and the signal strength is checked, it always shows 100%. We even swapped locations with the other good cam (which never loses connection) and it still fails to stay connected. That’s how we determined it was the cam and not the location causing the issue. But, again, service is great and they’re making it right. Please note that for the short durations we get it connected, it looks fantastic and functions as expected. I trust the replacement will be just as good as my other cam.Overall, I’m truly happy with these cams and with the service. I would purchase again.

I have purchased this Aosu solar powered 2K PTZ camera to cover my whole back yard that other camera can’t cover.First impression for this camera is a solid good quality product.This cameras came with about 63% battery charged, will need to charge the camera before the setup.The Aosu app can be downloaded from Google play, since I already have the driveway camera with Aosu, so I only have to add the camera to the Aosu app. The setup process was easy and smooth.After powered up the camera, I checked the firmware and updated to the latest version, it took few minutes to complete, very straight forwardThe camera parameters can be set within the app, the highest video quality can be set to “2K”, but if you have multiple cameras you can set to “Smooth” to speed up the video loading time.Same as many other solar camera in the market, this camera will record trigged event, so you will either using cloud service or micro SD card to store all events, I voted the SD card for my solution.From the manual the camera can take 8GB~512GB micro SD card, but the Aosu app shows Max. 128GB. I confirmed with Aosu service and the answer is that the camera can take up to 512GB, but the loading time maybe slow.I have Sandisk extreme Pro 32GB micro SD card in the camera, so far it works well. The recorded files were not very big, I expect it will take a long time before it start to over write the old events. No need to go higher capacity, 32~64GB micro SD should last longer than an year of event recording.The single event recording can be 20 seconds (power save) or 60 seconds (intelligent mode). I have set 60 seconds in the camera so I can see full event when it trigged.To check the event recording is easy, you can click the notification and it will open the Aosu app and load the event, it will take few seconds to load the video, the quality is good.This camera will automatically switch between day light mode and night vision mode, when it is dark you can either use infrared light or white light aided illumination. I really like the white light mode that I can see the color video during night time.Video quality is very good during night time, the streaming quality is good as well.The motion detection sensitivity can be adjusted, so it won’t pick up unnecessary movement, you can set the motion detection to human tracking so the camera will follow the person who come close to your house.I found the detection is sensitive, when someone passing by, I receive the notification right away.Compare to my old PTZ camera, I found this camera’s pan, up and down movements are very smooth and quiet.Two-way talk speaker function is convenient when you need it. You can talk to the delivery person to drop of the parcel, very useful function.For the solar panel, it came with USB type C connector, efficiency is very good, it keeps charging the camera battery to 100% even just few hours indirect sun light.Overall, I like this completely “wireless” setup, it doesn’t need to run long power cable and very convenient to use. It is a good quality 2K solar powered camera with reasonable price.

Todo muy bien

Easy to set up, works very well and solar panel is keeping it topped up even on the shortest greyest weeks. Software can sometimes be a bit slow and glitchy but generally it’s ok. The only thing I would change is the record time, it could often do with being a bit longer but that might just be my preference. What you get for the money though is amazing, this kind of equipment was unaffordable even 5 years ago.
