Connected an iPhone SE2 to a Peachtree DAC-ITx
With this adapter, a high-quality USB-A to USB-B cable, and an old 12 watt Samsung charger with a Lightning plug to power this adapter, I successfully connected an iPhone SE2 to a Peachtree DAC-ITx and it sounded great.Using an unpowered Apple Camera adapter (Lightning to USB-A) and a USB-A to USB-B cable, the phone said that the attached Peachtree 24/192 device required too much power. With this powered adapter I didn’t try other chargers (such as an old 5 watt Apple charger) to know how little or how much power was required.FYI, I successfully connected a Galaxy S24 phone to this same DAC without a powered adapter. Using simply a USB-C to USB-B cable was sufficient.

Works with my daw
Got the genuine apple so not to worry if and for how long it would perform…Yes, it was more expensive than the non apple brands but as I need to rely on it for pro work I am not taking chances. (I did get a non apple too that seems to work as well., as a back up)So this works to connect my Volt2 pro audio usb interface to my iphone se 3rd gen lightning port and record pro audio using twisted wave. It has a port to connect the power supply as well for the phone, and I use another separate power cable to power the volt2 interface.I also use the usb port on it afterwards to get the recorded files onto an external sd card using a usb sd adapter.

Unreliable, Expensive, Junk
Watched a youtube review that made this camera adapter to be the only solution for connecting all sorts of USB devices. However, when I plugged in a lightning charging cable to it’s lightning port (with my ipad charged to 100%) and then plugged in a USB drive, my ipad complained about it using too much power!I tried plugging in my ‘power’ lightning cable to different things: my wall charger and my USB 3.0 powered hub. Neither worked for recognizing my USB drive. To be clear, this was a cheap run of the mill USB stick you can buy at walmart for less than $10.Also, I thought I had 30 days to return this on Amazon, but they go by Apple’s return policy for Apple products. So yesterday when I found out how useless this was the return window already closed. Thanks Apple, really appreciate that.

Handy little connector.
Works as intended. I needed a faster way to transfer apple pics to my Samsung T5 SSD.

Expanded media capabilities for the iPhone or iPad
Works wonderfully – allows me to use my much higher-end mic with my iPhone. The Apple-branded dongle is worth the extra money if you want a flawless connection.
