Major return hassle, not wiped, bad power key
This machine is still registered to another userReturn options are difficult. Can’t drop off at whole foods, UPS or USPS. Either pick up with no confirmed meeting time or go to a hub locker which are few are far between. This is not disclosed before the purchase!! One must pay and then you find out your return options. Also power key is sticky.

I am probably not going to surprise you
This thing sucks compared to my dinosaur 2010 17″ Macbook pro. Here’s the thing, to this very day, my 2010 17″ MacBook pro has been through the ringer but it still works. Does the trackpad no longer have a click feature? Sure. Does the left speaker not work? Dead as my faith in the US after the 2024 election. Does the screen sometimes flicker? It could set off an photosensitive individuals. But it works nonetheless. It is heavy as a rock and gets quite warm but it still holds a decent charge and does the job needed after 15 years, damn it.Then I thought, why not upgrade? So I bought this. It sucks. It constantly is shutting itself down for a problem. Send to Apple? Why not but they wont lift a finger. Does it not want to coorperate with Chrome, Firefox, and Safari – of course not. Does my 2010 MBP – they are besties, they get veal on the weekends together. They both have about the same battery life surprisingly. My 2010 slowly got worse, the new one raced to catch up with poor battery life. Then Apple says, “Hey! You should update to our 2039580th operating system!” Anddddd it crashes the computer. I then was on the line with Apple support for more than 2 hours, just trying to restore the computer. Not save anything or find a simple error, just a hard install and I was on the line with them for ages. The issue with Apple is that they charge you a ton to get their product and then barely help you. I love the Apple store because it is an example of capitalism and bureaucracy like you ever seen. You walk in and someone says hi why are you hear to then talk to someone at the computer section who asks if you have an appointment with the Genius bar, then you go there and wait for ages past your appointment then someone comes out and takes a look at your computer and acts like they have never seen a Macintosh before. Then it goes to their backroom and your genius bar attendant comes back out and helps someone else. You sit there and watch people talk photos on the instruments in the store, giving up their personal information to the Apple. Then they come out and say your computer is vintage. I feel like it is not like a vintage fine wine like my 2010 beast, but instead a vintage glass of milk – an expensive paper weight that randomly shuts off. They then ask if you bought the outrageously expensive Apple care? No, well it will be one hundred million dollars to fix this. Or we can give $35 towards a new $2,100 MBP – it has 4k!I have owned HP computers – not amazing and horrible battery life. I have owned Asus computers which broke but had amazing customer service. Then I have owned a lot of Apple/Macintosh products. The quality is just not what it was. I don’t know what to tell you about your computer needs as they are all disappointing in their own way, at least Asus helped me when my computer tanked on me and made it relatively simple

So here’s the scoop… I was confused about the processing speed because they marked it as 2.0 and 2.6. My unit turned out to be 2.4 GHz. When I first got this macbook pro, it wouldn’t charge unless it was completely shut down. Total bummer. Not functional at all! But… I ordered a new charging cord direct from Apple. [240W USB-C Charge Cable (2m)] $39Canadian. The unit works perfectly ever since. It’s a beautiful machine, high integrity and works perfect, as new. Updated to macOS most recent version. As long as you don’t mind getting yourself a new cord, then it’s highly worth it. The 32GB of ram is satisfying beyond belief. You can multi-task and not hit any slowdown. This machine is by far superior to other units for sale on Amazon. Worth every dollar!
