    Perfect compatibility with other models
I bought this hoping it would work with the new iPad Air M2 13″ and it works perfectly. The only difference is the camera cutout is bigger than the case sold specifically for the air, but this was 75% less.Very happy with the fit and the price.

    Very expensive but nice,
I have had other iPads and for those I have bought off brands with protection but that usually means adding bulk. When I got my new iPad pro 12.9 I was anxious to try an official apple case. It was hard because it is expensive but I really do like it.It is true that there is no protection around the edges but that’s the very thing I enjoy about it. It gives you the feeling of not having a case. I like the way your iPad just magnetically attaches to the back of the case and can easily be removed. It feels like a nice heavy duty material (compared to some off-brands). I think it stands up well when folded the correct way.If your looking for something with drop protection then you may want to check out some other cases but if you’re looking for something to protect the front and back but want the ‘no case’ experience. This is a great choice. As a side note, when you fold the cover back it covers the camera but the part of the cover that covers the camera can easily be folded back (and magnetically holds there) to uncover it and take your picture.Though it’s expensive, it feels like quality and I am really enjoying the experience.

    Steal for the cost
I got the cyprus green since I’ve been on a bit of a green kick and it was decently cheaper than the other models, and I have to say I love it! Especially coming from permanently using the logitech keyboard folio on my previous iPad, it’s so lightweight and nice! It makes the iPad feel more like a sturdy book than a bulky laptop

Beautiful and functional, with one drawback
First off, I am so glad I chose this case. The color is subtle yet beautiful (mallard green is close to the best color of any Apple mobile device ever, forest green) and it protects the screen when not in use. That’s why I bought a case, so that makes this functional and worthwhile. The drawbacks are nothing new. Apple’s smart cases have had the first major issue since they first shrunk the side bezels of the iPad (despite the fact that this case is overall larger since the iPad is also, so they could have returned the functionality yet didn’t) and that is the folding segments over the front screen: there are three, instead of four as there once was. This means that while it can still fold on itself to prop up the device two ways (shallow for typing or steep for viewing) it no longer has an overlapping segment and as such the stand isn’t nearly as sturdy as before.Back in the day, I could prop my iPad open with the case folded either way: soft microfiber interior facing in or out. The latter was better so the microfiber that touches the screen didn’t also touch the surface you set the device on, but to do that now you must be very gentle placing it and put barely any pressure on it in use. It’s much more stable the intended way, with that soft layer facing out, but that’s not a good option on many surfaces.I bought this case together with the Magic Keyboard, because that is a far more useful case but limits non-typing configurations severely. I use that case for work, since the keyboard is far superior to what iOS offers virtually for the iPad, but this case for everything else since it’s much thinner and more comfortable in anything but a seated-at-desk situation. Unfortunately that’s a lot of money to spend on cases, but in this case (pun intended) I believe it’s worth it.

Fits iPad Pro 12.9 5th gen
I have had the iPad Pro Magic Keyboard ever since I bought my 5th gen iPad Pro. Biggest complaint I had was that it can’t fold back to have just the screen out, and that made me have to take my ipad out every timeI saw that this Smart Folio case was on Amazon and on sale for $30. It said 3rd gen and I read that it fit 4th gen, but not 5th gen. However, I saw some cheap knockoff folio cases that said they fit 3rd 4th 5th and 6th gen. A Genuine Apple case for $30, worth a shot with free returns. It arrived and I unboxed it. The magnets snapped on, and the case fit perfectly. It closed well too (some people claimed it wouldn’t close well because 5th gen is slightly thicker). As expected, the screen turns on when the folio is flipped open, and it sticks to the screen magnetically when closed.
