Great Performance + Incredible Value
I want to start off by sharing that I’ve written maybe three reviews in 15 years purchasing products through Amazon – not because everything sucks, but due to a strong conviction that any form of effective advertising should be supported by some form of compensation. That said, the few reviews I’ve written have been triggered by a powerful sense that the world would be a better place if everyone possessed the product under consideration or, conversely, no human being deserves the pain and loathsome burden engendered by any association with it. As to the Aquasonic Black Series Electric Toothbrush, I lean strongly towards a vision in which a wave of enhanced peace, health and happiness emanates from those lucky enough to own one.
To begin with, this is not the first ET (electric toothbrush) I’ve owned and, frankly I’ve been consistently underwhelmed by each specimen of the genre. Not so the case here. Before I even pushed the buy button on my iPad, I was struck by the incredible value represented. An ET that includes a long lasting rechargeable battery, induction charging stand, a total of 9 quality brush heads, 4 useful modes of operation and overwhelmingly positive reviews – all for a paltry thirty bucks – well it just seemed too good to be true. To top it off, the ET looks really professional in its sleek black housing, and the accompanying storage/travel case is both effective and space saving. However the real moment of revelation came after the very first use. I felt like I had just left my dentist’s office after a full session of ultrasonic plaque removal, gum stimulation and tooth polishing. The feeling, as my tongue probed every millimeter of my teeth and gums, was one of sheer joy. Joy stemming from that luxurious feeling of smooth healthy enamel, debris-free intertooth spaces, thriving gums, and the peace and security of knowing your future oral health has been all but insured – all of this from that initial 4 minute experience with my shining new Aquasonic ET. Now I can happily report that the quality of my initial experience did not diminish with repeated use and exploration of the other three modes of operation. If anything, my satisfaction has steadily increased up to this very moment of publication, where it is crowned with the hope that this review will make the world a slightly better place, one happy healthy smile at a time.

You need this.
The world is a better place with this in it. I am so thankful that my kids can grow up in a world with a toothbrush so luxurious as this. If this existed 50 years ago root canals would not exist today. Maybe that last line is too grandiose a claim, but not by much.
It’s soft, so soft, but oh so thorough.
I have a Phillips-Sonicare but frankly I hate it. I hate it so much I hated brushing my teeth. I’m a former dental assistant (decades ago before college) and seeing the results of people neglecting their teeth still haunts me. I am related to and/or friends with a half dozen or more dentists. I know how important dental hygiene is. Yet I hated all my toothbrushes until I found this 9th wonder of the world. My teeth feel like I just left the dentist office. Truth be told, I had a cleaning 4 days ago but still, the results after 1 use are amazing. Add to that the multiple heads, the price, and the low noise level (it didn’t wake up light sleepers who were only feet away from me tonight when I first brushed my teeth ). I love this so much I’m pretty sure I’m going to become that weird old aunt who gives her 9 yr old nephew a toothbrush for his birthday.

Fantastic product, this is what Sonicare used to be and in some ways, never was this good
I have used Sonicare toothbrushes for decades. I would buy one, and it would last for many years, surviving frequent travel, handling by children, and occasional drops. The batteries were great, and the motors were strong. The replacement heads were always a bit expensive, but otherwise, the product was rock solid.
When they finally broke or were lost, I would buy a new one and find it equally reliable.
I’m not sure when the change occurred, but about 90 days ago, I needed to buy a new toothbrush. I bought the 4100 model despite some poor reviews and now really wish I had taken those reviews to heart.
The 4100 was a disappointment—it had so little power that I kept thinking it was on “starter” mode, but no, that was even weaker. My teeth never felt fully cleaned, and to add insult to injury, the battery life was less than two weeks, rather than the extended life I was used to. After getting the Sonicare 4100, I researched the motor issue and found they had removed the old, larger motor and replaced it with a tiny one. You can tell the difference.
So, I started looking for a replacement. I saw the glowing reviews of the Aquasonic and decided to give it a try.
Wow, have I been impressed! First, the presentation is excellent—it’s well-packaged and looks nice. It feels solidly built and even comes with eight extra brush heads, a feature Sonicare never offered.
Additionally, Sonicare stopped including a charging block; now, their cord ends in a USB plug, requiring you to supply your own block. It’s just one of the many ways they’ve cut corners.
The Aquasonic has multiple modes, all of which seem interesting. Ultimately, after brushing, my mouth feels cleaner than it has in months.
Give this a try—you won’t be disappointed.

I’ve been using a standard electric toothbrush for a decade. I’d heard about the ultrasonic toothbrush technology, but thought it was a hokey fade. When this model went on sale, I thought I’d give it a shot as my existing toothbrush was out of heads anyway.
I’m so happy that I did! It makes an extraordinary difference in the cleanliness of my teeth.
It’s so powerful that I started to get some sensitivity after a few days of brushing with it on Whiten mode. I went down to Sensitive mode for a few days and then was able to work my way back. This leaves my teeth feeling like I’ve had a cleaning at the dentist. It’s solid and high-quality. The handle feels great in my hand, and I really like the 30 second time indicator on a 2 minute brushing session. A full charge lasts me about 20 days, but that may be because I like to brush my teeth 3 times a day.
This is a great buy! Not only are my teeth whiter and cleaner, I also know that it’s improved my overall teeth hygiene and that I’ll need fewer units of scaling on my next dental hygiene visit. No need to spend $200 plus on a toothbrush like this. This brush is a bargain and I’m sure it does the same job.

It works perfectly; I can’t say how long it will last—time will tell.
