It Just Works – We’ve tested this lens among the many other selected on the 12MP RPi HQ Camera. No lens shading, no dark corners, decent image quality, it just works.
The Wise Alternative – Another cost-effective choice that adds up to your Raspberry Pi High Quality Camera Module, with 3.2mm focal length and manual focus.
Ultra Wide Angle – Compared to a 6mm lens with a 65 degree HFOV, which is known as wide angle, while this lens provides 120 degree Horizontal Field of View on the IMX477 HQ camera.
Other Specs – 1/1.7″ Lens Optical Format, F/2.0, Fixed Iris, Dimension: Φ28×30mm, Weight: 54g

Good Lens, Great Service!
I ordered this lens for a project which had to be put on hold for a while, and when I went to use this lens a good while later, I discovered it was defective(some sort of adhesive residue, preventing proper focus). I was well outside my return window, so I emailed customer support asking for ideas on how to remove the residue, and long story short they were awesome and just sent me a replacement! I have ordered a number of Arducam items, both from Amazon and their uctronics web store, and this is the only item I’ve ever had a problem with, and they fixed that problem right away.As for the lens itself, it is the most performant wide angle lens CS mount lens I’ve found in this price range, works great with the HQ cam and a couple of M12 sensors I’ve tried with adapter.ðð highly recommended!

Pleasantly surprised
A lens like this is what I call a UNICORN! As you can see from the sample shots provided in the review this lens does NOT disappoint. I will admit, my expectations were a bit low given the price, and I had never heard of this company before. I cannot remember the last time I found a lens with such a wide view, sharp image and nice straight edges for thus price.

Good lens
Nice field of view on my Arducam HQ ir-cut camera, but I haven’t a clue what the screw is for on this lens?
Paul A Phillips –
Great for Raspberry Pi HD Camera
Great fit for the RaspberryPi HD Camera. Wide angle shots

Wish it worked without having to create my own ring adapter for it.
This is a CS Lens I purchased for the HQ Camera. I’m a bit disappointed with not being able to get this in focus right out of the box. Why it was designed like this and why it’s marketed as such, is beyond me. The mounting of this lens requires a very specific focal length between the HQ cam’s mount and the base of the lens which the included ring adapter does not rectify.

Difficult to focus, no documentation.
I struggled to get this to focus. The vendor UCTRONICS helped me by sending a photo of the correctly assembled lens and Raspberry Pi HQ camera. The lens comes with EXTRA adapter rings that must be separated and selectively used. After getting the adapter rings out of the way I only had to perform 3 minutes of back focus adjustment before having a great view.

Perfect!
High quality lens and the customer service was fantastic. They made sure everything was perfect (at their cost) even when it was my fault. 10/10 would buy again.

Cannot focus on Raspberry Pi Camera without almost falling off.
There is no way to focus this beyond threading/unthreading it off the camera. I have a factory Raspberry Pi HD sensor. If I unthread it to where itâs barely even attached by half a thread, itâs just in focus. But shaking the table would likely make it fall off. Should have a collar or something so it can actually be securely attached to the camera and the. focused rather than just floating loose on the threads. Or at least include a spacer to make it usable as provided.Customer svc number is a dead number, no messaging seller through Amazon. Sent a web inquiry to their site explaining the issue, weâll see what happens. For now, I canât use it.

Wide angle and solid build. Used with the global shutter camera
