Simple, simple, simple.
I ordered these for an apartment. The set up is fast and easy. The build quality is great and the image quality is really good too! They have a very wide angle lens and provide texts when the motion sensors are tripped. I use them inside and out depending on whether I’m home or not. Bummed I’ll have to subscribe to a subscription in a bit,but they work so well, I don’t think I’ll mind.

If I could rate Arlo a zero, I would. Arlo cameras and app used to be good products. The new app requires a monthly subscription to record video! Something that was not made clear in the Q&Aâs when I researched items on Amazon. Now the 30 day âfree trialâ has ended along with the 30 day return policy. The new app is very complicated to use, if it works. It is very time consuming to go in and turn cameras on and off one at a time. Cameras are glitchy. Go to Google Play Store to see more reviews. I used to be a huge fan of Arlo. Now I wish I had purchased a different security camera brand.

I love these Arlo cameras. I have them installed all around my house and even have their doorbell camera. The image quality is fantastic. The battery life is awesome lasting around 1-2 months before I have to take them down and recharge them. The motion detection is spot on and will even tell you if it detects a person, animal, or vehicle. The app is very easy to use. And I love that it sends my phone a notification when there is motion detection.

Subscription Required – I should have bought a Eufy
Iâm an Arlo Pro 2 Camera owner and this Essentials Camera worked fine initially. Then the 30 day trial ended and all it does now is alert me to motion or provide live video when requested. Gone are the 10 second recordings that I used to get for 7 days on the Pro 2. So unless you immediately try to bring up the live feed assuming you catch it in time after it alerts you, youâll never know what triggered the motion. The new app was a substantial adjustment from the old one and not intuitive at all. I canât return it though so maybe Iâll try to sell it on EBay.

Have two cameras. Even tho the settings are the same on both cameras I have one camera that the battery well last several days but the other camera dies after 24 hrs! Not very helpful when traveling. Also wish the subscription plans were more affordable. I bought the cameras in referral from a friend. Her cameras store video for one month for free after purchasing cameras. Now the company makes you pay a monthly fee for any video storage. If I wouldâve known this I probably would have went with a different company/produxt
