Very durable – review after one year
This was purchased a year ago for two very aggressively chewers and although itâs seen better days, itâs really held up very well after a year. Our 80lb boy and 40lb girl love it! While chewing, small pieces break off, but Iâve never seen them break any large pieces off while chewing. This was expensive, but worth it if you have aggressive chewers.

Very Durable for Intense Chewers
My girl (A Chessie) chews like thereâs no tomorrow! This is a very durable toy. She is able to get pieces off but they are pretty small. She spit them out most of the time but if she does swallow them the pieces are small enuf to pass and not get stuck. She is 10 and her teeth are perfect.

Almost Indestructible
Dog loves it and itâs held up well, sheâs a power chewer. Although, she did almost immediately rip the feet off of the alligator but the rest of it has stayed intact. Not quite indestructible technically but overall she loves it.

The Arm & Hammer Super Treadz Gator Chew Toy is awesome! ð¾ My dog loves it, and itâs perfect for keeping him busy while also helping with plaque and tartar buildup. The rubber is tough enough to handle some serious chewing but soft on his teeth. Heâs been using it for a while now, and I can already tell his teeth look cleaner. Plus, itâs shaped like a cute gator, so itâs fun for him to play with. Definitely recommend if youâre looking for a toy thatâs both fun and helps with dental health!

Solid, strong scent, my dogs didn’t go for it
My two small (6lb and 9lb) chihuahua terrier mixes are chewers and we have a large variety of toys lying around so that they dont chew the furniture, couch, or walls. While this toy might have been a bit on the large side for them i think it was the smell/taste that threw them off. After a lick i was unable to get them interested. I even washed the toy with soap which did lessen the smell and they were not having it. Oh well. I am going to keep it lying around in the hopes that someday they might find it chew worthy. Or maybe i will rub some peanut butter on it. Its always a gamble to buy a new toy for these two.. Its hard to give it a rating when i dont know if they would have chewed the nose off or if it would have held up. It feels solid though so 3 stars for the possibility of it being a great chew toy.

Extremely tough!
These are seriously so much better (and cheaper) than any other supposedly “strong/durable” type toy like this. We have 70lb very strong chewers and they chew through everything. Can not have stuffies. They do eventually chew through but it seriously takes awhile. Especially in comparison to other brands. I will say it says “recommended for dogs under 35lbs” but I also work for houses where I recommended these for their dogs which were smaller and they wouldn’t chew on because too tough. But they also accidentally bought the large which is what I buy my big dogs. So the large is GREAT for big dogs. If you have a dog under 35lbs I’d get the size small. Also …. says you can stuff treats. You really can’t. Which my dogs don’t need. They just love to chew on. I call it their bubble gum because when they FINALLY get a chunk off(which again takes awhile…. as in over a week) they will fling the pieces into the air and chew on like a piece of bubble gum lol… they love it! I don’t notice a difference in breath or anything but I don’t use the toothpaste either. I just bought to see if tough and they are!! And again price is clearly so much better. I hate spending $20+ on a toy they destroy in a day.

Not for aggressive chewers!
I have a 1 1/2 year old golden retriever and a minute after giving her this, it was missing part of both ears. Shouldn’t be advertised for “aggressive chewers” nor is it “super.” Rubber was also swallowed. Do not recommend for even semi-aggressive chewers unless you want your dog possibly digesting rubber.

Great teeth cleaning toy
I bought this for my pit bull. He is 75-80lbs. They didn’t have an option for his weight, so I got the alligator for up to 35lbs. He has already chewed the alligator’s face off. Now it is just an analgator. lol I do monitor him the whole time since he is over the weight limit of this chew toy. The body of the alligator has proven to be better suited for my pit bull’s chewing than the face part. I bought an Arm & Hammer yellow bone chew toy for teeth cleaning a while back. It was the BEST THING EVER for my pit bull to chew on. He destroys every toy in a matter of minutes. That yellow bone lasted forever and he chewed on it daily and consistently throughout the day. I haven’t been able to find another one like it, so I decided to get this alligator despite it not being for his size. It still seems durable and I think would last longer with a dog under 35lbs. I give it 5 stars bc it is a well-liked chew toy in my house with the dogs I have that like to chew. It seems well-made and great for cleaning teeth.

Very durable. No visible damage after being continually chewed. The hole is small enough that if I put a good-sized treat in there it won’t come out easily and keeps my doodle busy forever! I did wash it first as it had a slight chemical smell, which solved the issue. I highly recommend it.
