We installed this router in a 2-story, 2200 sq. ft. home, and it provides wonderful coverage and speed to all corners of the house, obviating the need for any wifi extenders or mesh systems. Probably one of the best in it’s price range
I’m not a typical surface level user, but if I were I would say this thing is plug and play, hassle free, great range (2100 sq ft house) and overall decent speeds but not fantastic. To be fair speeds are above my old router but I expected a little more honestly. Reportedly (and confirmed by myself) this router has speed issues with Intel wireless chipsets. It works fine, but the download speed is slightly hindered compared to say a realtec. For the people who use NAS appliances and have forward facing devices the simple ease of adding port forwarding rules is outstanding. The menu system itself is well defined and organized.I’m pleased with the purchase overall.

I recently purchased this ASUS router because I still had one my ISP provided but it felt inadequate. With over 20 devices constantly connected, including smartphones, laptops, smart TVs, and gaming consoles, this router has effortlessly handled the workload without any noticeable slowdowns. One of the standout features of this router is how easy it is to setup and how many things you can customize on the ASUS website. However, it’s worth noting a couple of drawbacks. Firstly, for larger homes exceeding 1500 square feet, the signal strength may start to drop off, necessitating the use of additional range extenders or a mesh network for comprehensive coverage throughout the house. Secondly, while the router itself is well-built, the antennas feel somewhat flimsy. I have concerns that they could easily break if the router were to fall, particularly if they hit the ground head-on.Overall, the ASUS AX86U Pro router is an excellent choice for households with more serious connectivity needs or you have yet to get a WiFi 6 router. It’s reliable, performs well, and is especially suitable for homes with numerous connected devices. However, for larger homes or those worried about it falling, it may be worth considering other options.

Estoy encantado con mi compra, ha sido justo lo que esperaba. HabÃa estado teniendo un router Asus modelo RT-AC66U B1 que me funcionaba muy bien; sin embargo, ya se sentÃa que en momentos se estresaba de más por la cantidad de dispositivos conectados en casa y la necesidad de mantener una velocidad estable de conexión a internet (tengo contratados 700mb de descarga).Fue por lo anterior que decidà actualizar mi router a este nuevo RT-BE86U⦠sin duda una hermosura. Se mantiene la facilidad de configuración y mejoraron la priorización para gaming. Con su puerto 10G puedo aprovechar al máximo mi velocidad y me otorga, de forma INALÃMBRICA, los 700mb a una distancia medianamente alejada del router.Es cierto que no tiene la antena de 6ghz para el âwifi7 puroâ, aunque sà nos ofrece âde baseâ dos conexiones (SSID) en 5ghz y una en 2.4ghz (esta última con la opción de crearle mas redes). Por lo que en mi caso resultó perfecto puesto que bastantes de mis dispositivos ya reconocen de forma ideal el protocolo de WiFi6 y la conexión es estupenda.Sin duda alguna recomiendo la compra y percibo que podré tener este router funcionando sin problemas por al menos 6 años.
