Simple setup, great weekend kitty feeder
I purchased this automatic feeder to avoid paying for a pet sitter for a 3 day weekend. Normally I feed my cat twice a day at 7am and 7pm, so this feeder worked perfectly for my needs.The timer is easily programmed – you just enter how frequently you want the bowl to rotate. (For my purposes, I set the rotation interval at 12 hours) The dish size allows for perfect portion sizes for our kitty, and he has no issues eating directly from the feeder. The sound played when the bowl activates is also really useful for alerting him when a new dish has been uncovered.Other features worth noting are how easily the feeder can be opened and thoroughly cleaned, and how sturdy it feels. The convenience of this automatic bowl is well worth the investment and is much more affordable than a pet sitter.

There is no actual clock on this unit
You can setup the feeder from 1 minute to 24 hours but there is no actual clock. This means that you have to start the unit at the time you want it to feed. IE; if you want to feed at 0700, you must start it at 0700. Otherwise, it’s fine, works well, easy to clean seems to be durable ð I’d buy it again.

Your cat will abandon you every time it hears this go off
Thanks to the Cat Distribution System, I ended up with a kitten in it’s early teen years that had faced starvation and freaked out over food. Since I work long days, I got this 3 days in when I worried about him getting sad and hungry throughout the day.He loves it more than me.The thing chirps and beeps when it goes off (I have mine set at 4 hour intervals with a teaspoon of dry food in each bowl) and he will go from deep sleep to missile as soon as he hears the chirp. So, yup, great purchase. Batteries have been going strong for a week and half without losing a bar of power so efficient too.

Did not last a week
I had big expectations for this and I thought it would be my solution to trips but I would not trust this to leave my cat alone. I went away for the holidays for a week. I tested it and everything went well. Then after 3 days it didnât dispense the other 3 days of food even though the timer was still on. Iâm lucky I had a friend who was nearby to check on my cat but if I didnât he wouldâve went without food for days. Not worth the money I hope I can get a refund.

Itâs hard for cat to eat from, bowls are too deep
It was a good product, but the bowls are too deep, my cat couldnât eat all the food from it and it looks like it can give her whisker fatigue.

Worked on day one
I really thought this may take some getting used to by my Cat but she used it night one. She did great. Eats about 4:30 am, and would wake us up for food. Now she doesn’t need us to wake up. Instructions are terrible but we figured it out. Only issue is what others mentioned, the bowl is deep and not wide enough. But she makes do with it.
