Lasts about a week for two cats
Very easy to assemble and get working. Iâve used other auto feeders before so set up was a breeze. If you do not get instructions make sure you ask for them they will be needed.Easy to measure how much it is putting out for 1 serving and adjust your amount of servings as needed.You have up to 6 feeds per day and 1-6 servings per feed. I did 5 servings 6 times a day while I was on vaca and it was wayyyy too much food! So I recommend getting it set up and make sure youâre happy with the serving size at least a few days in advance.I did not notice it not serving more when it realized âbowl was fullâ, but of course I was not present and may not have seen what it was doing.When it dispenses. It is quite loud, I got the staining bowl, so it is understandable. But there is a level of mechanical noise that comes with it. The cats have 100% learned this noise and now go running when they hear it.I recommend for an every day feeder as well as a vacation assist. This machine does not connect to your phone or WiFi. There is no Bluetooth or camera in it!

I adopted a new cat and for the first time I have a cat thatâs a foodie!!! He was obsessed with food and would gobble his meals very quickly.I bought this to feed him smaller portions but frequently throughout the day. As soon as he hears my recorded voice call him, he races over to the food dish. Itâs comical.But now that itâs been a couple of months he has settled in and he knows that heâs going to be Fed on schedule several times a day. He stopped focusing on being fed and is much more relaxed. He also stopped gobbling his food and takes his time, sometimes even leaving some in his dish. Animals are so smart, he knows exactly when itâs time to come on and will go wait by the dish.I also like knowing that if I have to go run an errand around feeding time, heâs going to be fed at least his dry food.I highly recommend it.

Accurate feeder
We bought this for our cat so that we can travel and not worry about feeding him. It could easily work for a small (toy size) dog too. The portion size though, appears to be smallish. I estimate the size to be one ounce. Cleaning is OK, but I wish I could get a little deeper into the gears as I fear some kibble is left in there.I recommend that once the unit is programed (schedule and portion size), that you press the manual feed button a couple of times until a portion is served. This will guarantee that the first scheduled feeding will not be empty.I also recommend that when cleaning the unit, you cycle the feeder a few times until nothing comes out of the feeder.Good product and value for your investment.

So good I bought another one
I bought this for my cat to help him lose weight as he is a big cat.I love that he can get fed a specific amount if portions at specific times of the day. I have it set for 7am, noon and 7pm. Breakfast and dinner he gets full portions and noon he gets half portions.I bought the other one for my other cat so they donât fight over the food.I also like that I can adjust the amount should they be getting too much or not enough.Initially my cat would just sit and stare at it all day. Now when it dispenses he literally runs to it haha.It also helps you conserve food and not open feed your cats. 1 bag of 30lbs has lasted me over 2 months. And no my cat isnât staring. He just thinks he is.Great buy and would definitely recommend for those with even 1 cat.

So glad we got this. I love knowing my cat is getting the right amount of food every time. I also love that you can record a voice message to play when the food is dispensed. The cat runs to the kitchen every time he hears the recording of my husband telling him it’s time for dinner and it’s the cutest thing.

I bought this for my grandkitty. It is easy to program and I like that it has a battery backup (batteries not included) incase of power outage. You need to have it dispense food and then measure the food, and adjust for the portion size, as the portion size dispensed was less than what was stated. Not a big issue, I adjusted serving size accordingly. I like that the stainless bowl insert is removable and so easily washable – that sold me on this model. I like the recorded message you can make to alert that the food is about to be dispensed.

Edited: Programming is easy, but the unit I got worked for 24 hours and then resets at midnight, meaning I have to re-program every morning to make sure my cat gets fed.Maybe the unit I got was defected since I see a lot of good reviews here so it was just an unfortunate personal experience. Try it out and if you are unsatisfied, customer service will take care of you.
