Simple Auto Pet Feeder – BEFORE YOU BUY
I have an elderly cat, and prior to getting this cat feeder I would always simply scoop his food into a basic ceramic cat food bowl and water bowl.This gives me peace of mind that while I’m at work for 8 hours a day+ 2 hour daily commute, he has constant access to food and water as needed.Overall it’s a fairly decent auto-feeder/waterHOWEVER Please Note:The water portion of this unit requires power to operate and runs on a motor.The cord isn’t incredibly short, but it’s not long either, which limits where you can place this unit to be functional.If your house loses power, or if the motor dies your pet will NOT have access to the water in this unit due to the lid on top.You can however, either remove the lid, have a back up water source for your pet, or, remove the clear reservoir and use the white plastic part that holds the reservoir as a standard water bowl.This feature isn’t necessarily a flaw, but something that needs to be considered.Finally, and the only reason I didn’t give this unit 5 starts is because it did not include set up instructions within the packaging.THERE IS A VIDEO GUIDE ON THIS PRODUCT’S AMAZON LISTING BY THE SELLLER – I highly recommend watching it.I was able to figure out the assembly prior to discovering the video, but included instructions would be appreciated, especially if you consider purchasing this item as a gift for someone, as you will either need to pre-assemble the item prior to gifting, or, provide them with a link to this product posting.In final summary: My cat took to the feeder immediately, gives peace of mind that he’ll have consistent access to food. Should your pet require a carefully portioned diet, there is no way to regulate the amount of food this unit provides your pet. It functions as advertised and has a sleek design. Easy for cats to knock over
My package arrived with no instructions for either the water bowl or the feeder. I was able to assemble them but its always nice when there is an instruction sheet to refer to.Both items are made of a very light plastic, I gave them a really good try but they just didn’t work our for us. The cats kept knocking over the water bowl. I think they think of it as a game. I would constantly walk in the kitchen to find water everywhere.The food bowl had the same issue, not quite as often. They were able to figure out how to get into the top of it and also knock it over pretty quickly. I tried various tactics to keep them out but ultimately went back to just feeding them in their old bowls.These feeders might be great for pets that are not as mischevious as mine. Mine are just stinkers.

Very nice feeder for smaller pets
This feeder is better than expected. It seems well made and durable. The fountain water bowl is so nice and one of our cats took to it right away. I like that you don’t you don’t have to disassemble the fountain in order to refill it. There is an open slot at the top which allows you to fill the water from the upper portion. It is also clear so that you can see when the water gets low. I was also pleased to see two water filters come with this product. The automatic food feeder is also nice although the bowl portion is a bit small for my cat’s big head. He complained about that. I had to remove the metal bowl in order for him to feed from the feeder. The description does say that this feeder is for smaller pets, so keep that in mind. Overall, I like this feeder. It is nice looking and the tinkling water sounds nice. It took a few days for one of our cats to get used to it, but eventually he succumbed and is eating and drinking from the bowls.

Ok but NO instructions
This feeder is one frustrating item. I opened the box to about 10 different pieces and NO instructions. I finally figured out most of it by looking at the pics online, but still not entirely sure of 2 pieces.The feeder is a simple plastic tower that allows gravity to fill the bowl. There is a small stainless bowl at the base and thereâs also a window showing the fillline.The water has a plug-in aerator that causes the water to bubble out into a sort of lid over the well. It does not make a noise other than a low hum so my cat was not overly concerned and stuck her nose in right away. Assembling that was by process of elimination.Overall, itâs ok. Itâs lightweight and plastic.

Cat food dispenser and fountain
This cat food dispenser and fountain combo works, but the listing is misleading since it is not âautomaticâ. I can put a bucket of cat food on the floor and call it âautomaticâ. It is not electric and timed. Cheap materials, overpriced for what it is IMO. But it works, and my cats have free dry food so itâs fine for them. Looks good, flexible in the space it takes up. Just could have been better. Instructions being in the listing doesnât bother me. At least I wonât lose them.
