Saved Our Sanity!!!
This book literally saved my sanity. Trying to sort through sponsored and non-sponsored mommy-blog opinions, youtube reviews, amazon reviews (fake and real, cough cough, Amazon you could do better here) was driving me crazy. It was so overwhelming because there’s just too much information out there, and trying to make sure things are legit or safe when everyone is trying to make a buck off selling their own opinions is just the worst life experience ever. If you’re feeling overwhelmed by parenthood-to-be, this book is the fix you’re looking for. We bought this expecting it to be somewhat helpful…and proceeded to have our minds blown!!! FINALLY, authors who have no vested interest in what particular item you buy, just helpful real people trying to give you accurate information. You want the bougie expensive baby stuff? They’ll tell you the most outragouly priced items that meet all safetey standards. You want all eco-friendly baby stuff?? They’ll tell you how to make sure you’re buying all the actual eco-friendly baby stuff. You want the cheapest stuff that has the best ratings?? They’ll also tell you which ones those are. This book is the best thing you could buy to help yourself with your registry and decision making. It’s impartial, factual, and evidence based when reviewing all things baby. Once we had it, we were able to round out our baby registry in two hours flat. We didn’t even realize how much time we were wasting consideirng products that didn’t even meet standards or were overpriced. I would keep telling you how amazing it is, but really you should just buy it. Save yourself all the time and wasted engergy that goes into google searching and amazon review stalking and just get this instead.

Extremely helpful for a first time mom
I really like this book. My cousin recommended it to me and as a first time mom who has been overwhelmed trying to pick the âbestâ option of everything, itâs a really great resource. They explain what to look for in everything you could need for a baby and then list their top overall pick, top budget friendly option, and top expensive option. Itâs really well thought out and Iâve learned a lot from it. Even though the most recent version is from 2019 and I canât always find the exact recommendation, itâs nice to know what to look for and what to avoid (like crib bumpers)

Seriously is the “bible” for new parents!
I absolutely LOVE this book! Someone described it as the bible for new parents and I couldn’t agree more! I had been so overwhelmed trying to research all of the different baby gear and just all the baby things…. And this book did all of the research for me! I found their opinions to be very accurate and enjoyed having the different reviews based on your budget as well. I can’t recommend this book enough and absolutely wish someone would have told me about it sooner! Definitely buy it!!!

First-time Mom’s best friend
This book was absolutely fantastic to identify what items a new parent actually needs, how to tell a good product or what variables may change between families, and ultimately good recommendations. Putting together that baby registry for the first time is going to be a challenge and take way longer than you think, but this book gives so much direction! I’d bet this book saved me at least another 4+ days of product research! Thank you Denise and Alan Fields!

$10 on this book will save you THOUSANDS!
Iâm a first time Mama and this book was recommended to me and Iâm so glad it was!!! Chapter 1 saved me $500! I was ready to buy a super fancy bassinet And learned that baby outgrows within 3 months! No thanks, Iâll spend my money elsewhere! Iâve purchased one of their recommended strollers, which talked me out of a high priced, less functional one I had my eye on! This book goes over so many topics, items and safety features. Both new and experienced mamaâs need this book!

Worth it!
Being a first time mom I was very overwhelmed with so many different products and mixed reviews online. This book reviews the best products and gave alternatives based on price. It was easy to bring with me to do my registry and narrow things down. I only gave it 4 stars because I was really wanting a travel system review but the book reviewed strollers and car seats separately.

Helps narrow down the millions of things to buy
Weâre first time parents and seeing all of the things we needed to buy was overwhelming. This book is so helpful in giving info and also helping narrow down to the best choices. I love that thereâs a variety so if you want a budget option, they have it. For some things we chose the more expensive choice and others we went the budget route. Itâs already saved us so much money. I HIGHLY recommend buying this book even if itâs not your first time being a parent

New parent necessity
Great resource for comparing the top brands of all things baby in one place. Perfect for new parents trying to put together a baby registry! Website listed was a great resource for name brands we had in mind that were not in the book and helpful knowing that the book is updated every other year, but the website is updated much more frequently.
