Simple and straighforward
The device works well if you want to watch and capture A/V on your PC. You have to also watch the game on your PC. So, if you’re capturing game play video from your PS5, say, then you have to feed this device into your PC, where you also have to watch the game. You cannot, with this device, play your PS5, record it on your PC, and view it on your widescreen TV. You’d have to view it on your PC. If that doesn’t bug you, then maybe this is the device for you.

Does not work on current MacOS
As opposed to what they advertise, this product is NOT supported on the current MacOS (with MacBook Pro)On their website, Benfei tell you to install device drivers that break the Mac’s security. I WOULD NOT TO DO THAT. Even so, those drivers seems to be for other Benfei products. This product is not even listed on their web site.I know the problem is theirs and not mine, because a competing device (VIXLW) works well , using the same video capture software (OBS)

Affordable capture card
This capture card is affordable and works well. The features and latency are better than some USB Drive style capture card. The resolution is not as good as an Elgato capture card I use but this one has similar latency at a much more affordable package.

Works well, depending on your setup
This capture card is designed to be plug-and-play, and I think most people will indeed simply be able to plug this up and start streaming/recording. My situation was slightly different and did require some effort to get working properly. It is working very well now and I haven’t had any issues streaming on Twitch as well as making local recordings. Read on if you’re curious about the specifics of my situation.I have a gaming desktop and a laptop, each connected to its own external monitor. My graphics card has multiple displayport but only 1 HDMI output, and since I don’t have any displayport cables, I’m using an HDMI splitter to send duplicate signals from my desktop to its monitor and to this capture card. I’m not sure if my problems were due to this, but I could not get OBS to recognize any audio from the HDMI. Video was perfect, but I simply could not get audio, even when following the instructions provided with the capture card specifically for setting up the audio capture in OBS. I resorted to changing some sound settings in Windows to allow listening playback (or something like that) which then allowed me to record audio in OBS, although with the downside of that same audio playing through my laptop’s speakers as well. That subsequently caused problems with recording my voice through the laptop’s built-in mic. I eventually decided to get a standalone USB mic, and I’m glad I did, because after plugging it in, somehow OBS started picking up the HDMI audio the way it was supposed to (per the capture card’s instructions I alluded to earlier). I guess it had nothing to do with my HDMI splitter? I have no idea exactly why plugging up a USB mic suddenly fixed OBS recognition of HDMI audio because those are 2 entirely separate channels/inputs, but everything is working wonderfully now. Video and audio quality is excellent, and I’ve had no problems since. This is a compact, functional capture card that offers good value.

Plug and play on my phone and PC. Works as expected – hook up and HDMI and plug the C into your computer or phone and you’re good to go. It has a C-to-A adapter built in but I didn’t need it so I didn’t test it.No complaints.

Save your money on those elgato overpriced units. This thing does the exact same thing and looks exactly the same for more than half the price.I use a Sony camera as a webcam and was tired of waiting for the “imaging edge webcam” placeholder while the camera loads up. With this new capture card there is no loading/waiting time. You ask for webcam, boom you get picture signal immediately. Plus its a real 1080P 60fps now.Works mint.

Works absolutely spot on with the meta quest 3s for hdmi link to xbox one series x , I received mine today and tested it with battlefield 2042 then black ops 6 while linked no lag smooth and perfect. Only downside is that,is it dose not charge your meta quest while playing via the hdmi link
