Good green drink mixer
I find that capsules are the easiest way for me to take spirulina, in part because of convenience, but also because spirulina can sometimes taste less than pleasant or have a weird texture when mixed. However, this particular brand of spirulina mixes very well and actually has a somewhat pleasant taste- even when just mixed with water. I’ve also mixed some up and left it overnght in the fridge to see if the taste or texture changed, and it was absolutely fine the next day. I think it would be a great addition to smoothies or ice cream as well. I still think capsules are easier (no mixing and no fine-powder mess), but I was pleasantly surprised by this mix and I do recommend it.

I sprinkle a teaspoon of this on my morning blueberries and strawberries and nuts and it’s delicious. My son doesn’t like it and thinks it’s too sweet, and I can see what he means because it is fairly sweet and artificial flavorish. But I actually really like the flavr and they don’t use artificial ingredients to make the flavor. It’s just organic black cherry flavoring. But they also use stevia. I normally hate stevia, but I don’t taste the stevia in this. But I think that’s what’s making it “too sweet” for my son. I think they’ve done a good job at making the spirulina less earthy flavored. And it’s 300 servings in this big tub and it’s all organic and spirulina is supposed to be very good for you. I tried mixing it with water and it was terrible. It tasted awful. But sprinkled on fruit it was great. It would probably be really good sprinkled on oatmeal or over yogurt too. The package also suggests you can put it in baked goods or smoothies. Great idea! They even say you could use it as a coloring agent which is also great idea if you want some really green frosting or cake! I’ve never taken spirulina regularly and I’m really happy that I’ve gotten to try this product and I love it. It’s become part of my daily routine and I’m really grateful. Thank you!

The best tasting Spirulina I have ever had!
Biophix Organic Spirulina Black Cherry Flavor is a nutrient dense deep green superfood powder that has a delicious fruity flavor. I have tried green and blue Spirulina but this brand is by far the best tasting that I have ever had. It mixed well with water using my portable blender but I also like its versatility. It goes well with smoothies and can be added into baked goods.This super green drink is light, refreshing, and sweet. It doesnât taste overwhelmingly earthy and it doesnât have a chalky texture. I think its the perfect amount of sweetness and I especially like that it doesnât have a weird aftertaste. Just be mindful if this drink sits too long, the contents may separate but a quick shake and itâs good to go.Not only is this product healthy and delicious; the large container size is very generous. Unfortunately, it doesnât come with a measuring spoon and I didnât see any indication of how much liquid is recommended. I opted to use 10 ounces with ice and found it to be very enjoyable. Two thumbs up for this healthy and delicious organic superfood powder!

Skip the stevia and the black cherry and you’ve got a good product…..
I like the taste and aroma of pure organic spirulina and have for decades. I just need the original product without any extra fancy stuff which generally brings it down several notches. The black cherry seems very strong and the stevia is not needed if taken with fresh veggies and fruits which add that taste of sweet.I will consume this spirulina but I will not order again. Stick with just the basics.

Ugly looking but NUTRIENT DENSE superfood!
We’re not going to ignore that the color is crazy looking, but don’t be put off, spirulina is SUPER nutritious and mild tasting so ignore the color! This is 2.2 lbs., that’s 303 servings of organic spirulina! That’s almost a year’s worth for under 40 bucks, about 12 cents per serving… that’s bonkers! This blended really easily. However, I don’t mind a little vegetal taste, so I found the black cherry flavor a little too strong, like they were trying to unnecessarily cover the taste of the spirulina. That said the flavor isn’t bad, but I added banana, acai, mango, blueberries and strawberry and I could taste the black cherry over all that. Moving on from the taste, this is all organic, bioactive, Vegan, and gluten, soy, dairy, and GMO free. It’s made in the USA at a GMP/FDA registered facility. If you are not familiar, spirulina is actually a plant protein (4 grams of protein per serving). It’s rich in nutrients like fat-soluble vitamins and vitamin C, DHA/EPA and minerals calcium, magnesium and potassium and has all 20 essential amino acids! If you’re looking for a smoothie ingredient that packs a nutrient dense punch, spirulina is it! This particular product gets it all right!
