    Great way to add protein.
This is a great way to add protein your salad and adding a crunch. I also use it to add protein to my ramen noodles.

    Great taste
My vegan daughter recently made tacos using textured vegetable protein (TVP), and I was amazed at how delicious they turned out. Even though I’m not vegetarian, I could hardly tell the difference between the TVP and regular meat. The texture was spot-on, and it absorbed the flavors perfectly. It was incredibly easy to prepare too—just a little seasoning and cooking, and it was ready to go. It is now in my cabinet to use.

    Good source of Protein
I add this to meat loaf and burgers to increase protein content. I hydrate in chicken or beef broth. A great product that I’ve used for years

Very tasty and versatile but didn’t set well with my stomach.
I was really impressed with the meat like texture and the neutral flavor of this soy protein. I have not tried soy protein before so I didn’t know that I couldn’t tolerate it. It’s a shame because I definitely would use it if I could. Sparingly because of the bodies hormonal reaction to soy but it does what it says.

    Versatile source of protein
I’ve used this TVP as an ingredient in veggie burgers (with beans). It’s easy to add flavor by using seasoned broth or water to reconstitute the TVP. In the past I have also used it as an add-in for chili and soups. It doesn’t have much flavor of its own. An internet search or AI question will readily come up with menu ideas and recipes. Note that this TVP is made of soy, so take that into consideration if you are allergic or otherwise concerned about soy.

    Taste and convenience
TVP is my go to meat substitute for Spaghetti or even tacos, the prep is literally the same and bonus is it takes just a little less time to cook. My two young adults love it and prefer it over ground turkey. Next I want to try a lasagna and sloppy joes recipe using TVP. We aren’t vegans but do try to commit to meatless meals a couple of times per week. However, I wouldn’t suggest consuming TVP daily for my family at most 4 times a month.

nice alternative to hamburger in some recipies
I am not vegan or even vegetarian but I do sometimes like to make vegetarian tacos. This works perfect as a hamburger replacement. You can follow the recipe on the bag, or even just prepare it plain and use your normal taco seasoning as though it is browned hamburger. Most often I prepare it plain and use my favorite taco seasoning. Mix in a little extra cumin to balance out the flavor closer to meat. This also has a long shelf life which means you can have it ready to go for a quick meal.

Very useful protein-booster if you are vegetarian/vegan
Particularly if you are cooking the beans/lentils and grain together, just toss a quarter cup in. It doesn’t taste of much, but depending on how long you are cooking the rest of the stuff can pleasantly add texture.

Extends ground beef considerably and tastes pretty good. Also is lower in fat and calories than ground beef. Decent product in soup and chilis.
