Spirulina is a blue-green algae harvested from controlled environments.!99% Pure! Spirulina powder contains valuable nutritional, medicinal, and color-enhancing compounds of interest to fish-keepers. Spirulina can be added to moist fish feeds or fed directly to invertebrates. It is a great source of amino acids , pigments, vitamins and minerals. The key benefits in adding spirulina to your fish’s diet are: Increased growth, heightened immunity, improved skin and fin appearance, and improved coloring. For home prepared diets, the recommended inclusion levels is 1-3% (by dry weight) for most applications. It can be fed to artemia, larval shrimp and larval fish. CAUTION: It is very easy to overfeed your invertebrates or fry with dry feeds, including spirulina. Use this product very sparingly at first and adjust accordingly. For better control of feeding levels and for better dispersion in your tank, premix a small amount of spirulina in a blender with fresh water, then add a small amount of the resulting solution to your tank.
