SO much more convenient than drinking tea!
I do love tea, but I’d have to drink gallons to meet the effectiveness of this supplement. There is a great deal of information on the health value of green tea, and I would not go a morning without this.

Tread carefully
I would suggest that folks with liver issues tread carefully mainly due to the high dosage. My review isnât a reflection on the product per se, but more of a caution that if you have non-alcoholic fatty liver for example thereâs a chance your liver ALT and AST values will shoot up as they did for me, surprisingly high actually after only 2 weeks. Check with your doctor first is basically my advice.

EGCG is the Best of Both Worlds
Green tea is associated with many health benefits, and itâs great for people who enjoy drinking it. Personally, drinking green tea is not very enjoyable for me, and every time I tried to get into a routine of making a cup or two a day, it didnât last very long.EGCG should be the main compound associated with all the benefits, and I like that this supplement focuses on that. There are 200 capsules in the bottle, each containing about 600mg of green tea extract, though EGCG is only 45% of that.The supplement arrived well-sealed, and the capsules are of standard size and easy to swallow. Itâs also very significant that this supplement is manufactured in the USA in a GMP-certified facility.

Good formulation, high in polyphenols
I haven’t taken Green Tea supplements in a couple of years, but decided to give this Carlyle brand a try. What sold me is that the formulation is standardized to contain 95% Polyphenols, 75% Catechins, and 45% EGCG. If you haven’t heard of EGCG, it is a powerful catechin, predominantly found in Green Tea, and it proven to be an great antioxidant and anti-inflammation compound. There are some studies that suggest it helps reduce LDL cholesterol and lowers blood pressure.I like that this Carlyle brand is made and lab tested in the US, and has no GMO or other additives. The GMP certification gives me a little added confidence. I don’t know this company, so I visited their website and looked around at this and other products, they seem to be very professional, well organized and well managed. For the quality it seems to be a fair value.

great value for good quality EGCG from green tea
I like that this is a large bottle at an economic price point, and Carlyle has been around awhile here in the USA, and I’ve not had any complaints about other products from them in the past… I haven’t taken these as often as I intended as part of my anti-aging program, out of fear of ingesting too much caffeine, which is horrible when it occurs because I metabolize it very slowly so stay wired up FAR too long.Thankfully, today I ‘finally’ found an analysis which claimed this product contains less than 0.50% caffeine. Now I feel better about taking it in the afternoon again.In my opinion the nutritional profile of these is good. I just wish caffeine content had been listed somewhere on the container or the company website.
