Clean- Green and priced right!
I’ve been using Carlyle organic spirulina for a cpl years now and am hesitant to write my true feelings on the product because I don’t want availability to decrease and the price to increase! But I’m going to be honest anyway because this is something more people should add into their diet for gut health, sustainable protien and micronutrients for overall well being.This is definitely high quality blue-green algae! I add 24grams (3-scoops) to my smoothie each morning so I ggo though a fair amount of sea-weed. I had been using several other brands due to small packages and high prices before finding this.Great taste (no fishiness or anything weird), consistency is great for mixing into anything, and the price is unbelievable. I love being able to buy this kilo size for sustainability, health and shipping benefits. This is the best value and a fantastic product.Do your body a favor- you won’t be disappointed if you enjoy quality spirulina!

It also has a really beautiful deep green color, so that must mean it’s really healthy too.

It Smell bad, but taste great with Grape juice
I mixed mine with Grape Juice so far, it smells bad but taste great with Juice.

BEST VALUE BY FAR…..BUT LOADED WITH HEAVY METALS.
When I chew this product, its like grinding dirt. This is either from the shavings off metal equipment that results when metal is grinding against metal during the process of grinding this algae down to powder, or worst, this could be micro glass particles if vibration is used to grind algae into powder. Unfortunately, this is the industry standard, and every brand uses one of these 2 methods of grinding.Nonetheless, I love Carlyle products and is my go-to brand, since they usually offer high quality products excellent value for money. They always seem give me more, when I compare how much I get from them, compared to other brands. I gave them 4 stars because every other spirulina brand I have tried…….all have the same dirt grinding effect. Even powdered herbs gives this effect……there seems to be no escape! Fortunately, Spirulina is also a detoxifier of heavy metals.I changed my review to ONE Star because NOW Spirulina had significantly less heavy metals when I place the product directly into my mouth to chew and do a basic heavy metal contamination test.

Stinks
Not sure what you can say about it without chemical analysis other than this stuff really stinks. Iâve never used spirulina before this so I was surprised. Using just a teaspoon in my smoothies until itâs gone.

Container opened in shipping box
The spirulina powder came out of the container because the lid had come loose, losing much of the powderâ¦.what a mess! I should have taken a photo before I cleaned it up.

My hair is thicker
I have a tablespoon of this everyday in my protein smoothie. My nutritionist told me to add it and I have been doing it for a year. When I went to get my hair cut, the stylist said â your hair is so much thickerâ. It really is!! I wear my hair down now, instead of up.
