Ultra small footprint, but very limited carrying capacity
I am currently testing several Neo carrying cases of different sizes and design. This case is what I would call a “Field Case” where it is just big enough for the drone and the controller and the batteries, but no room for the charger, as opposed to “Travel Case” where there is room for the charger and the “Storage case” where it can store everything including all the accessories.As a Field case, this one uses the 2-layer approach that stacks the controller on the 1 side of the clamshell case, and the Neo on the other half, which gives this case a very small length x width footprint, just a tad bigger than the drone itself, but it is also twice as thick as 1-layer design. I find this design best suited for cross body carrying, but less so for inside a backpack because of the thickness of the case.Also, this case has zero room for anything except the essentials. So my final recommendation is if you mostly do short flights that don’t need more than 3 batteries and you don’t adorn you Neo and controller with add-on accessories and doodads, and you want the absolute smallest case possible, then this case is the one for you, otherwise, you will be wishing for more room.
