Perfect for my dog!

Terrific product for pets or small kids
Gave this as a gift for friend with small dog who goes to work with friend. This electric blanket was a big W because it kept her dog warm and has a lot of safety features. Doesnât get too hot and is waterproof. Definitely recommend.

Keeping our feral cats warmer in the winter
We put these in a little outdoor shelter, so our feral cats can lay on it to keep warm in freezing temperatures. Even on the high setting, it only gets slightly warm. But it definitely helps the cats retain body temperature. And if I sit a water bowl on it, the water does not freeze. Just don’t expect it to get very warm. It’s a gentle heat.

Works for outside cat shelter
The heating pad is a good size, fit well into the little outside shelter I made for my kitties. Has two settings, so I leave it on low as to not overeat them. Only thing, not sure it’d be easy to clean. Otherwise, seems perfect for colder weather.

Nice heating pad!
This heating pad is easy to wash, and very durable. I used it for my cat who had kittens we put it in her nest, the temperature and timer, to keep them warm. It was a great value and has 10 heat settings and a timer. I will be getting another one for my dog!

Low cost, low wattage, yet good workmanship
This was the least expensive heating pad, yet the workmanship is good. There are multiple layers that give good physical and water protection to the heating element and there is sturdy edging around the pad. There is no removable cover, so you will need to sponge the waterproof fabric surface clean. The power cord is covered by a ribbed metal tube to protect it from bites. This model has a digital control with a timer and temperature setting. (9 is high and 1 is low.) The timer can be set for 1 to 12 hours. The instruction sheet is rather useless, you will learn more by looking at the product page on Amazon.My main complaint is the very low heat output. Since it has a thermostat, it will not become overly hot. They should have given it 25 watts of power so it can get warm in cold weather. There are no electrical ratings on this, even though power ratings are required in most countries. My guess is around 7 watts of heat. This will work indoors, but is not very useful outdoors in cold weather. Other pet pads seem to have similar complaints, so maybe I will try a human type heating pad.

TIKING TIME BOMB, CAUGHT ON FIRE, THREW MY BREAKER
Please do not buy this pos. I thought it was for a kitten and expected it was going to be the size of a kitten but it ended up being a large 18 inch mat for only $8.99. gee I wonder where they cut corners. Well they cut corners in the little temperature control. When I turned it on for the kitten in one day three days after I bought it, I turned it to low, 5 minutes later while I was in the bathroom with the kitten the temperature control panel just randomly popped, started smoking and a little flame popped out and then my whole master bedroom / bathroom went dark. So here I am in pitch dark with a 4 week old kitten that I can now can’t see because this piece of crap knocked out all the power on one half of my house. So I had to crawl on my knees so as not to step on the baby cat to get out of my door. Then I had to get my lights back on. I had this thing for only a few days, it was on a low setting for maybe 5 minutes while I was still in the bathroom and while we were nowhere near it it just randomly sparked a fire. If you want that kind of ticking time bomb in your home then go ahead and buy it. I only got it because I guess I missed the one and I thought it was only 8 in wide and that’s why it was only $8.99. A real heating pad costs at least $25. This piece of crap could have killed my whole family and the kitten I rescued. Do not buy this product.

Good for Roaches!
This is probably a niche use, but just in case somebody else is looking for something to use for their roaches. I am rearing dubias (and some red runners thrown in there, too), which will not breed under 80-90°F. I have them in a rubber tub on top of this heat mat at the lowest heat setting, and within the week I had tiny babies! It has been about a month now and they are still quite happy with their heater. Doesnt melt the bottom of the container at all and the built in thermometer keeps it from getting too hot. If you’re looking for a heat mat that is big and won’t melt plastic/rubber, this is it!
