My cats really like this scratcher, the only downfall is that itâs not super stable. Easy fix though it is a good scratcher!

Itâs not super tall, but the quality is good, itâs got enough stability for her to push against on her hind legs with her front paws on carpet floor. Itâs light weight and easy to move, gives her entertainment and a good place for her to scratch. My cat loves it.

Great Cheap Scratcher
Not sure if it is the combo carpet/sisal or the little toy attached, but my cats were all over this on day 1. They still attack it on a regular basis.Pros: easy to put together, cheap, cats love it.Cons: pressboard bottom joint needs a larger washer than provided as it can pull through: it is light so cats can tackle it and knock it over pretty easily. My kittens are 7 months and they were knocking it over.Easy fixes: 1. Simply add a larger washer below the supplied washer. Original washer stops the bolt, larger washer covers the whole cutout area and prevents the bolt form pulling through the bottom. This is a weak point. If you tighten it down or the cats are rough with the post, it can pull through or break off and make the scratching post useless. 2. Add 2 mending plates to the bottom to cover the seam. These are thin metal strips with one screw hole on each end. Span the seam at the bottom of the base and put one screw on each side. This will further strengthen the base which is really 1 piece of pressboard they cut almost in half so they could fold to make a small package. 3. Add two 90 degree angle brackets to attach to the wall or baseboard so that the angle bends around the edge of the base and leaves one end with a screw hole visible over top of the base. These are thin strips of metal bent at 90 degrees – not shelf brackets. Screw one in at each end of the base on the side that faces a wall. One screw in the bottom of the base, one screw into the baseboard or wall. This will hold the scratching post in place and prevent it from tipping over. Total cost for fixes is @ $6. My fix was free as I had this stuff lying around as leftovers from other projects or repairs.Conclusion: You can make this work without the suggested fixes and it is a great scratching post for $20. I recommend the fixes to make it a lot more sturdy and last MUCH longer. They are easy and cheap. Just a screwdriver and a couple of parts you can find at any hardware store. I would buy this again.

My cat loves it!
My cat has always adored the hammock part of her tree, and I wanted to spoil her by getting her another hammock to use in another area of my home. Since getting this, sheâs slept in it almost everyday and seems so comfy! She loves scratching on it and whenever she gets the zoomies, she likes the the dangling toy as well. Itâs easy to vacuum whenever you need to clean too. Super easy to set up and incredibly sturdy!

It says it’s the same size as the one my 14 pound cat fits in fine. It’s only 11 inches across. Kitten size. And wht is the meadurement listed with a question mark on the size?

Can’t go back to round scratching posts after this one. The cats love the extra surface area, and they really get to stretch out because of the height, and then they just spend a lot of time hanging out on top. I have bought multiples just to keep them all around the house. Will definitely keep buying this product, although it seems to be lasting much longer than previous scratching posts, so it might be a while…Really well made!
