Good video quality
It’s been only a week so far. Product works as intended and don’t have many complaints.First video quality is good even at night. If my front light is on it’ll stay in day mode and it still looks nice. Sound quality is decent, but it does get muffled easily with any wind.Motion detection is pretty good I’ll get a notification before they make it to the door. Socks you’ll have to pay for some nice benefits, but I think it’ll be worth it.

Fast notifications
I got this to replace a 4 year old skybell smart doorbell. A few days after installing the doorbell i received an email for a free faceplate, which i redeemed. I also qualified for a 7 day trial of ring protect pro. The doorbell has great morion sensing identifying persons with great accuracy, packaging detection seems hit or miss. It requires a good wifi connection or else the video quality is lowered. Iâve found most people just ignore the alexa greetings so havent found that useful. Birdseye is also not great, doesnt give me much more information than what i would get watching the video clip. Overall though video quality is generally good, alerts are pretty fast to my phone.My skybell had existing screw holes that were larger than the ring would cover, and i was suprised that i couldnt find a backplate for sale that would cover screws, so i ended up creating a 3d printed cad model for it at printables (Ring Doorbell Pro 2 mount to cover up existing doorbell holes).

BEWARE OF GOOD REVIEWS
I saw all the good reviews about the refurbished model of this doorbell and decided to give it a chance since I would save almost $70â¦â¦what a mistake!When I opened the box there was a small scuff right on the lens, it was very small and may not have been much of an issue, so I decided to proceed with the install to see if it was okay, but didnât get far with thatâ¦â¦.I spent all the time disconnecting my old doorbell, wiring everything up, and then when I go to connect the new doorbell in the app, it wonât connect. I spent hours trying to get this to connect and followed many troubleshooting guides on the Ring website, nothing worked. I finally broke down and called Ring support, who was absolutely horrible. All they did was take me through the same steps of their guides, which obviously didnât work since I already tried multiple times. And in the end the support technician just tells me to return it to Amazon, WHAT A JOKE!!! I donât know whatâs worse, the fact Amazon sold me a defective product, or the fact that Ring support is absolutely useless.Now I am stuck returning this, and Amazon wonât issue my refund for 30 DAYS because they need to âconfirm the conditionâ of their already broken product, SERIOUSLY?If I didnât already have a massive home system with a ton of Ring devices already, I would 100% go with a different company/security system. This experience has been so bad I never want to buy Ring products again, Iâm just stuck with the stuff I have.If you absolutely want to buy Ring products, buy new, not refurbished. I can say that all of my other products were bought new and I have no issues. Guess thatâs what I get for just trying to save money in this ridiculously expensive economy.
