Excellent Feeder!!!!!
Excellent feeder. Works for up to 3 or less cats best. It says up to 10 but the food for 3 to 4 cats goes quickly.Batteries last up to 6 months with 4 cats; easy to use; easy to train; easy to sync with RFD chip. (not sure that is the right lettering for the chips put into cats/dogs for recovery if lost)I contacted the company in hopes there was a larger size food hopper but none available at this time.

Perfect solution for separate foods for two cats!
This is great for separation of a âdrive-byâ eater and a glutton that would lie in her food bowl around.the clock. The feeder has guards on the side that will only allow for one cat to eat at a time. I have strategically placed it in a corner so that the intended eater doesnât accidentally open it with her proximity to the back of the feeder while the glutton tries to break in from the front. It took a little adjusting to the collar and the noise the feeder makes as it opens and closes, and with a very skittish girl, but she still acclimated pretty quickly.The cons for me are the price point and the fact that itâs battery operated. At this price, it should have a wired set up with a battery back up in case of power failure.

Super easy and works well
Super easy to set up and get pet to use! We bought a different brand a year ago and it works but not as well as this one. This one comes standard with features that were flaws in the other one, specifically, the back is closed so the cat cannot try to access it from behind the sensor and get confused as to why it isn’t opening and also it has a narrow opening in the front (clear removable side shields) so another pet cannot push in and eat too.

Not Ergonomic for Cats lol
This is not a good design for cats. In order for my cat to get her head far enough to trigger the reader, she has to fold her ears back. Then she has to stay with her ears folded back. Returned.

Could not read our Cats microchip.. had to return.
The MiBowl is a Great concept and Im sure it works for a much newer Microchip. Our kitty is 13 yrs old and it could not read her chip for nothing. We tested it on the 4 yr old and it picked her up in a second. Sadly, the MiBowl was purchased FOR the older cat., to keep OUT the younger one.We LOVED the design and how it worked, it just wasn’t for our older cat (microchip).

it works great for slow cat to eat his full meals and keep fast cat from snarfing it all down when slow cat’s back is turned. Directions are clear and it’s easy to use.The only downsides area) when you use wet food, you really need an ice pack; the bowl is deep and the whole set-up isn’t designed to include an ice pack. You can order metal inserts that are shallower, and an icepack to put under the insert, but it’s an additional cost and doesn’t come standard – which would be preferred.b) even if the plastic dish is foodsafe, using glass or foodsafe ceramic would be a much better choice – doesn’t affect the flavor of the food and is better for the animals long-term – at least having an option for a glass or ceramic bowl would be helpful. The metal inserts are ok, but metal can affect the flavor too, if you have picky pets.Overall, it’s a good product, just wish these couple things were addressed.

I went through the whole cat-training-process only to discover the chip reader doesnât work 99% of the time. My cat can be standing directly under the arch for an extended period of time and it still wonât open. Expensive disappointment.

The perfect auto feeder
I recently got a kitten and needed to find a way to free feed her without her older siblings getting to the food first. I wanted an auto feeder that linked to her chip, I didn’t want to add another item to her collar. I saw this feeder and was hesitant because of the small amount of reviews but bought it anyway. THIS IS PERFECT!! It was so simple to link to her embedded chip. She took to the auto feeder immediately (there is a training mode for some cats that are hesitant). I have had it for 2 weeks. The older cats bang on the plastic lid cover but so far have not opened it. The key, and it is mentioned in the directions, is to put the feeder in a corner. You should block access to the back and sides of the machine, so the only way to get to the food is through the front. There are plastic guards that you can remove if your cat is on the bigger side, and the space is a tad too small for them to squeeze in. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND! As of now, my older cats don’t realize their younger sibling is making it open, to them it’s just magic. Also, the lid takes about 3 seconds to close once my kitten walks away, this has not been an issue with my other cats swooping in to eat. The price is so worth it!!!
