No heavy metals like most of the others, works just as well
I ended up in the hospital with arsenic poisoning after taking Code Age Multi Collagen for five months. The Organic Consumer Association tested the top collagen powders and all but three contained arsenic, lead and/or mercury. BioOptimal Collagen Powder was one of only three products to test clean.Even though it only contains two collagens instead of five, Bio Optimal seems to be giving me the same great results as the Code Age, without putting me in the hospital! It tastes a lot better, too, without the fish collagen. It’s not quite tasteless but the slight taste is not unpleasant at all. It also mixes very well in liquid.As to effects, I am getting the same ones I got with Code Age, tightening skin, wrinkles reducing and elimination of joint pain, which I mostly was starting to feel in my neck and back. Those little twinges are completely gone now.The price of BioOptimal is competitive, I just hope they keep up the excellent quality and cleanliness.

Dissolves easy/No taste
The powder is silky smooth and fine and therefore dissolves super easy, I barely need to stir it. I do recommend adding it into a drink rather than putting it in the cup, then adding liquid. If you add the liquid, it clumps a little, but with some stirring, it dissolves.I add it to my hot coffee every morning and there is no taste.I had been interested in collegen for a while but overwhelmed by which one to choose. Based on the research I did, this one seemed to be a good option. Low calories, a number of different kinds of peptides and no extra stuff added. I have been using it every day for a few weeks. It is hard to say if it is making a difference but the skin on my face definitely looks better. It is clearer. I did also start using a heavier moisturizer at the same time so in full disclosure, I have no idea if my skin looks better because of the moisturizer or the collegan or both.

Excellent product, excellent Brand
This product is amazing. After only three weeks I noticed my hair was regrowing! I always had a full head of hair, and over the last 6 months I noticed it was falling out a lot–collecting in the shower drain, collecting in the sink when I combed it, etc. Well, it stopped falling out and now my hair is getting full again. Also, my nails have been cracking and peeling for years, and now they are long and hard. And the collagen powder really does dissolve completely and does nothing to alter the flavor of your drink. I put a scoop in my coffee every morning. This brand was the least expensive I could find, so don’t fall into the trap of thinking that something is better just because it is more expensive. This collagen is type 1 and 3. I am going to see if they also sell type 2 as it is for your bones and connective tissue. I highly recommend BioOptimal and this product. And, by the way, I’m 75 years old, so if this was good for me and you’re younger, it’s going to do wonders for you!

I have been using this product for well over a year now. I started February of 2017 on a weight loss journey and as of now have lost 120lbs. I was worried about excess skin problems especially since I am in my forties and already starting with small wrinkles and thinner skin. So I researched information on skin renewal and elasticity which led me to a collagen supplement and ultimately I chose this product. After a couple of months using this I was able to tell a real difference in skin texture and suppleness, reduction of fine lines, hair/nail growth and even less stiffness in my muscles. I still have ended up with some excess skin but from watching weight loss television shows I can comfortably claim that my amount is much less compared to others.It does take some stirring to get it dissolved in cold beverages and there is a slight taste, but I never found it unpleasant. It’s a gelatin taste that you would notice if you drank Kool-Aid and then ate Jello as a comparison. I have found it to be much simpler though to just add it to my morning coffee where the heat dissolves it instantly and I can’t taste it at all with the dark roast I drink. This is not an instant fix, collagen is like all other supplements it must be taken daily and the results can take a while to see. I can’t compare this to other supplements for you since I have only tried this one, but it has done wonders for me so I can’t see the need to switch.

it seems good enough only less one star for the fact that it sometimes does not always dissolve 100% …once in a while it will leave little clumps of white balls floating which is the product (i squish them with my spoon to dissolve)and less another star for the little scoop with a short handle with the tall jar! I wear a size medium ladys glove and can not reach the powder to fill the scoop and the level is about halfway down. if they had a longer handle it would solve the problem***********************UPDATE********************************I am adding another star for the excellent customer service… THEY saw my review and offered a refund/replacement ( i did not reach out to them) I respect that they stand behind the product…thats integrity!!!so if you are on the fence… try it!!! you have nothing to loose!!! haha *** please read below*****customer service is not what it seemsI have noticed a huge difference since using (ALL THE BRANDS) of the powder collagen… this was my 3rd jar (i am still trying all the brands )and ALL BRANDS transformyour joints and more!****UPDATE #2*********i emailed BioOptimal and never heard back from the company … typical
