Great quality!
The collar and spikes are heavy duty but not too heavy for my puppy chihuagua to wear. I feel better about taking his for walks now that he’ll be protected from a neck bite from aggressive animals.

Badass Safety
I have a snack sized pup and weâre always in predator territory. The idea is that this collar will buy us some time if we run into a hungry coyote Thankfully, we havenât had to put the collar to test but she wears it all the time and it doesnât seem to impede her ability to chill out and lay down. The spikes are legit and she looks like a badass. 10/10 would recommend!

Don’t Even Hesitate
We love our dog. You do too or you wouldn’t be looking at a Coyote Collar on Amazon. We bought this, along with a Coyote Vest, because our dog has been attacked by coyotes not once, but twice, and he needed protection. We live in Northern California, in a neighborhood that borders open space. Here, the coyotes rule. They walk through the neighborhood like they own it. Cats and dogs have gone missing, and we all know what happened to them. Think of this spiked collar as something to accompany a Coyote Vest, which serves as body armor. It is an extra layer of defensive or, if it is a really hot day and you don’t want your dog wearing a vest on a sweltering day, this spiked collar protects the neck, which is where a coyote tends to grip. It is an added layer of protection, and it may buy you precious time to deal with the attacking coyote (think pepper spray, which is what worked the last time a coyote went for our small dog).What I like about this spiked collar is that it is very soft on the inside, so it is very comfortable for our dog. Additionally, pieces can be easily removed so that it can be sized to exactly fit. Our dog doesn’t mind it at all. Now, he never goes out without it.

The best spiked collar to protect your dog!
My vet advised that my medium-sized dog needs a spiked collar after she had been attacked twice. The first spiked collar we got (not this one) looked great, but it was extremely heavy (thick leather, metal spikes) which made me take it off often since I was worried about her comfort âand a protective collar that is not worn at the right time is no protection at all. Then I found this collar from CoyoteVest designed by a family who lost a dog to coyote attack. This is perfect for our our dog! Because the spikes are heavy duty plastic instead of metal, the collar weighs 1/4 as much as the other spiked collar. The part of the collar against her neck is soft and comfortable. The collar is easily adjustable, and extra spikes can be removed if you need to shorten it (if you are trying to decide between 2 sizes, itâs better to buy it too big since it is completely adjustable). Itâs comfortable for her to wear all the time which will keep her safe. Highly recommended!

good find and peace of mind
I just wanted to share that the spikes can come off individually, so you can put them on different collars! I wanted this for my cat and the collar that came with it was not quick-release and too big, but I can take the spikes off and put it on his existing collar. I’m happy with that!

We bought 4 of these. 2 large for the pups to grown into as well as 2 small, one for our 13lbs mutt, Min/jack/chi, fits him perfectly and for the cat. These are impressive. Easy to use and adjustable for growth. Peace of mind knowing my animals have some protection from wild animals on the property. If the need be.

Lots of aggressive coyote sightings in my area. Decided to be proactive and bought one of the pink spiky collars for my chihuahua.My husband did a major face palm when he saw her with this on for the first time lolThis collar along with coyote spray i also bought gives me some peace of mind when I’m out on walks with her alone.She does seem more confident while wearing this collar. They work and are decent quality was just expecting a bit more then velcro on spikes made of plastic. Probably wouldn’t have bought it if I knew that. But it does work and makes me feel better about letting my dog off leash. 6/10 cuz of the cheesey velcro spikes.
