Great price! Solid Product!
This hotspot works great especially for keeping it in one place. Just insert a sim card.It did not accept a US Mobile-T-Mobile SIM card. I used a US Mobile-Verizon SIM card and it worked perfectly. All my devices connected well. I was able to manage SSID/password through the Web. Would Recommend.

Review for Firstnum CPE C1 WiFi Router with SIM Card Slot
I recently purchased the Firstnum CPE C1 WiFi Router hoping for a convenient solution for on-the-go internet connectivity through the SIM card slot feature. Unfortunately, the device fell short of my expectations. To start with, the primary reason for my purchase was to utilize the 4G LET CAT4 capability, which promises up to 150 Mbps. I tried multiple SIM cards from different carriers such as Simple Mobile, Lyca, Ultra, and T-Mobile. Regrettably, none of them worked with the device. It’s a significant letdown considering that this feature was the main selling point for me.On the brighter side, the device did function as a regular WiFi router. However, that wasn’t what I was looking for. I could’ve opted for numerous other routers at potentially a lower price point if I only needed regular WiFi functionality. Moreover, to add to my disappointment, the return window had closed by the time I fully tested the product. Now I’m left with a router that doesn’t fulfill its primary promise. To anyone considering this router for its SIM card slot feature, please proceed with caution. The regular WiFi functionality is there, but if you’re looking for a reliable 4G router, this might not be the best pick.

Great little portable router
This router is a great backup router for me. I live in a remote area and sometimes my home internet goes out so I can use this one with my local SIM card as a backup. It’s also great when I am traveling for work and I want to bring my own internet to use in hotel rooms, etc. Small, light, and very convenient. Works much better than the hotspot I was using before.

Great value for the price!
This WiFi router is a great value for the price. Essentially a web portal, just add a SIM from the right vendor and you’ll have internet for much less than most actual gateways or hotspots. Easy to set up, can be done from a smart phone.

Couldn’t Use
I bought this to use when my wife and I go travel camping, as campground wifi is usually abysmal. I tried to get this to work on my T Mobile plan, but after talking with some people that know a lot more than I do about this stuff, I found out that my plan wouldn’t allow it. I’m grandfathered into the 55+ plan, which still provides data at only 3g speed. This unit needs at least 4g, so it wouldn’t work. I think the unit was a great value for the price, so if I decide to update my plan, I’d probably re-order it.

Got my garage door opener to work with 5G device
I am a non techie but very determined woman. After switching to a T-M 5G Gateway device almost a year ago, even adding a second 2.4GHZ network via their app would not allow my garage door to see the required 2.4GHZ network. Spoke with T-M reps. No help. Kept reading on internet. Finally fixed the issue with this router 1. Connected this router with yellow Ethernet cable to the T-M 5G device. 2. Plugged this router to wall outlet and powered on. 3. On my desktop pc, searched for this new FIRSTNUM Wi-Fi connection. 4. Entered the PW WiFi key found on the back of this routerâs box.5. After connection was established with my pc, clicked on the little i (round button) for more information to the right of this FIRSTNUM connection in Wi-Fi settings. Wrote down the routerâs IP address (IPv4 DNS servers field).6. Opened a web browser window on my pc and entered this IP address in the search field.7. On that FIRSTNUM web page that was then displayed, entered the admin username and the PW found in the pamphlet that came with the router box. Clicked on WI-FI tab, entered new PW and saved.8. On my pc, re-established the Wi-Fi connection to the FIRSTNUM network by entering the new PW.9. Pressed the series of buttons on the garage door opener as per the instructions in their app (or YouTube videos). The new FIRSTNUM network was selected. Entered the new PW.10. Finally heard the beautiful series of beeps indicating my garage door opener was connected to this 2.4GHZ network.I donât know if installing a mesh/extender 2.4GHZ network would have been easier or better. All I know is that the T-M 5G device only has one IP address so creating a new 2.4GHZ network with the T-M internet app was a waste of time. I can use the garage door opener companyâs app (MyQ) on my cell phone to let someone in or out of my garage when I am not home as long as the Wi-Fi at home is working. Finally!
