Mr Buckeye –
You won’t find a better value for a Wifi 6 router with all that this one offers.
My router was starting to act strange and was randomly dropping the connection throughout the day. This kept going on until I couldn’t take it anymore so I started looking for another router. One thing I didn’t like about my current router was the limited settings that a lot of higher end routers would have. After coming across this router and seeing what it had to offer I wanted to give it a shot – even though I had never heard of the brand. We have a 2 story home and about 35 devices that need to connect to the router. To make things easier I used the same Wifi name and password from the old router to the new router ( I had recently changed the password to a much stronger password). So getting everything connected couldn’t have been easier. The router was up and running in a matter of minutes and all my devices connected too. Speeds are going to be determined by what kind of internet you have and whatever package you have. The speeds on all devices were much better from the get go and to this day they remain much better. When it comes to range in my house there isn’t a dead spot anywhere. I get great coverage throughout the entire house, garage, and even part of my back yard. I don’t have any random connection drops anymore and the quality has been great. Another way I was limited on my old router was with DNS settings. The old router only had the very basic DNS settings and I wanted something that would allow me to have better control over that. This Cudy router has exactly what I was looking for – all the settings and features that a higher end router would have. Custom DNS settings allowed me to set it how I wanted it and is giving me the DNS I want at the router level for all the devices on my network. Tons of setting are available in the admin panel through the browser and there’s just about anything you can think of. It really is a full feature router. Of course with this level of features you also get a firewall which is important now more than ever. The Android application is nice to have as well. I love that I can open it up and see all the devices on my network and even limit their access or cut them off completely from Wifi. You are limited somewhat on the Android app as it doesn’t have every setting that is on the admin panel through the browser. I do wish they had them mirror each other but it’s not that big of a deal. When it comes to value I honestly don’t think you’ll be able to find a router with the performance this ones has combined with it’s features and settings at a price like this one has. With ones that do have a similar feature set I’ve seen these routers for double the price and even higher. If you’re looking to upgrade your Wifi or maybe looking for your first router – this is a great device and perfect for small to large homes with a few to tons of devices. I’ve yet to see any of my devices struggle being connected to this router. I’ve been impressed with how this router has been working and I think you’d like it as well.

Good Router, but Didn’t work well as WiFi extender
I was trying to use this to extend an existing WiFi. I configured it to connect to that WiFi, then used a different SSID for the new connection. It connected easily to that signal and I was able to connect other devices to the new signal. The problem was that some devices would connect to the internet, but others wouldn’t. I even had mixed experience with devices connected by wire to the 4 Gigabit ports being able to access the internet. I was also surprised that there was no option to use a different password for the extended WiFi signals and they use the same password as the host network. I wanted to potentially use the extended connection as a guest network and wouldn’t really want to give out the password to my primary connection. It works great when connected directly to the internet source and I had no issues with internet connectivity with any connected devices, wired or wireless. I intend to experiment more with it because I think it’s a very good product and will likely try the WiFi extender again.

Speed and Reliability in One
This router delivers excellent performance with its multi-gigabit ports and advanced WiFi 6 technology. The four antennas ensure strong coverage, and the compatibility with OpenVPN and Wireguard is a big plus for secure browsing. A great investment for home or office connectivity.

Nice small WiFi 6 Router
I have a gigabit fiber at home. The fiber termination box has a 2.5G port that I was able to connect to this router at 2.5G. My speeds are capped at 1Gbps but with IP overhead I was never able to get above ~930Mbps but now if my phone is right beside the Cudy I am seeing a slightly faster internet speed test. That’s pretty marginal though yet it’s still nice knowing a copper 1G WAN port overhead isn’t causing lost throughput. The WiFi 6 works well in my setting. I have a number of 2.4GHz only devices and newer devices that work better at 5GHz. So far everything is working well with the Cudy.I haven’t tried any of the Zerotier, Wireguard or VPN capabilities but these are on my radar to set up for remote access.

A nice improvement
This is an improvement over my current router and gives better reception throughout my whole house. The speeds seem about the same as my old one, but it was a pretty good one. It was simple to set up and easy to use.

A nice, inexpensive and reliable WiFi router.
Let’s start by saying this is probably the least expensive router I have in my house at the moment, and I don’t expect the world from a budget router. At the moment, I don’t have a particular use for the 2.5Gig WAN port, so I can’t really address that in this review… seems like some future-proofing at play here. The WiFi 6 works well, even with several devices connected. The Setup was easy, and the App worked well. I don’t have any need for parental controls, but it’s nice to see that they exist. It’s slower than my Alcatel Lucent access points, but it’s not REALLY slow… but I do notice the difference. The size of the unit is nice… smaller than most routers that I have seen at electronics stores. I also like that it’s white. Most routers look like something that belongs on Darth Vaders bedside table.

Easy Setup
It gave several options for setup – I opted to make a new network and let it re-broadcast my current internet on a separate named network. It really seems to push the signal out a lot farther than my stock router and WAP combo. I did a speed test and it didn’t seem to slow down at all. Latency was good too, not too effected by the repeat.

Easy to set up
This router was very easy to set up, instructions were helpful. I find that I have Wi-Fi all over the house without any problems. And very quick speeds, and watch videos on multiple devices without any slowdown.
