Some comments… I swear.
This thing stunned me with how well it’s run and the App’s performance when reading certain reviews from people who obviously shouldn’t buy one of the lowest priced routers and expect $1,000 results.I was able to fire this up with a Spectrum-issued modem and had it all rocking in a few minutes. The App could use a little clean up, yes but it outperformed both the app and PC admin screen on 2 of my Wavlinks! Detail everywhere you could want it, but fine nitpicking detail like click-to-invite WiFi hookups the send to almost any email/app/messenger app, etc out there instead of writing it down, etc. Way too easy! 4 status lites tell you what’s going on and if you want to QoS thruput so you get the most bandwidth, click and set it up.4 adjustable plastic coated antennas have a solid range as well as horizontal or vertical mounting options for best signal. Mesh-capable to get whole-home coverage, it’s quiet & light and solid detail on it and in docs. D-Link has gone from the bottom ranking to the top for sub-$50 AC1200 units!

A steal honestly
Bought this several weeks ago. For the price, side, and itâs user friendly framework. Itâs a no brained. Get it if you need something for your room, Iâm not sure itâs full range. Itâs good for me about 35 ft. Cool little router so affordable doesnât even hurt to try out.

Works but barely
(I just noticed that the price of this went up $7 in the three days that I’ve had the router. It was worth the money I paid at $27 but not $34! Where’s it going to end? If D-Link thinks this is a $50 router, they’re fooling themselves.)What’s good:1. It’s cheap.2. It works. I thought that it wasn’t going to be able to communicate with my two bridge extenders (a TP-Link and a Linksys running DD-WRT), but it can.3. It’s fast. What’s bad:The software.1. The firmware was at 1.0.9 something when I installed it and at 1.02.02 now. And the “AI” STILL doesn’t work. LOL! The “smart” router doesn’t know how to change the WiFi channel intelligently, so it just turns off the WiFi completely! See how smart it is? I think it should run for Congress.2. The user interface is an abomination. Instead of having everything laid out in a nice, logical fashion where you can see all the information you need, you have to click through menu after menu. And to make your search for the settings you want even more fun: a) no manual is included (my favorite!); and b) the UI logs you out automatically after 3 minutes! And there’s no way of changing the timeout. They must have had their “smart” AI design the interface…3. Don’t try to change the WiFi channel manually because you can’t. Ha-ha-ha! Take that, power user! (EDIT: Weeks later, I had turn turn off the “Smart” Connect feature because of drop-outs and voila! The channel option was enabled. The manual is just awful!)I’ll take a dumb router any day.

Good when it works.
Easy setup, fast connection, but it will lose connection to internet every few days. Have to cycle power and then it works fine until the next glitch.

Excellent as Access Point!
Super simple configuration. I use these as hardwired (Ethernet) wireless access points. Will continue buying these for my connectivity projects.

keeps dropping signal
Just received this last week. The setup was very easy but having connectivity issues already. I use it for internet and smart TV and both have had inconsistent connections as the unit keeps dropping the connection, then reconnecting. I have tried moving the location but doesnât help. Will have to return it soon.
