The Osmo Mobile 6 features improved stability for longer distances using the updated ActiveTrack 5.0, which can automatically track body shapes to track human subjects without the need for manual targeting. The DJI Mimo app connects via Bluetooth 5 to provide multiple shooting modes and functions, including Sports, Portrait, Underslung, Landscape, Time-Lapse, Motion-Lapse, Panorama, Slow Motion, SpinShot) and a Sports Shooting Mode fast action. In addition to using the joystick controls on the handle, you can also use hand gestures to control the gimbal to track your movement, take a selfie, or start/stop your smartphone camera, so you don’t have to press the record button or touch any controls. You can mount any smartphone up to 3.3 inches wide on its phone holder, and its magnetic phone holder allows for simple and quick mounting and disassembling. The built-in smart sensor even tells you when your smartphone is mounted. The built-in battery run time is about 6.4 hours, and it takes about 1.5 hours to charge with the included USB Type-C cable. The bottom of the gimbal handle features a mounting thread for mounting the gimbal to the included grip tripod or other accessories. A storage bag is also included to store and transport the gimbal. One of the best ultra portable options for a gimbal
I had a FEIYU gimbal a few years back and the device was cumbersome to use and keep charged. I’m very happy with this updated gimbal from DJI. The Osmo Mobile 6 is an updated ultra portable gimbal that meets the requirements very well. As long as your within the specifications weight wise, the gimbal works perfectly and the MIMO app is next level with the face tracking tech. This is not the gimbal for professionals that need to have many devices hanging off the phone like lights and mics etc. This gimbal is made to mate with a phone and it’s case and that’s about it. If you’re overweight the gimbal will stop and tell you so. Very intelligent and useful product. I’m very happy with it!

Great for creating content on the go
This is my third DJI gimbal and I couldn’t be more pleased with this new one. It’s sleek and perfect for shooting cinematic on the go. It folds up nicely and is very sturdy. The battery life is excellent.

waste of money
It was great for about a month, then it told me I needed to download and it will not work. Then I reached out and they told me to uninstall and reinstall, and it will not install now complete waste of money. The concept was killer, but it will not work on my phone and I have a new phone, it’s not like I have an outdated phone. The problem is is my warranty ran out after it stopped working, so I’m sitting here with a nice paperwhite, I wish it would work I’m not gonna buy the newer model in fear. I’ll have wasted money on this, and fear that will not work again on the next update.

It tracks me while I make a video of myself
The tracking on this is great. I have a mediocre phone , Pixel 6, and I have been making YouTube videos by myself. This makes the camera follow me around. Before I had this I had to zoom out so I didn’t walk out of frame. This clip is just a small example of automatic tracking.

Poor design, avoid
The packaging and the feel of the components is all very nice, but the overall design of the device is poorly designed. Do not buy.The phone needs to be able to MagSafe directly to the gimbal arm, but you are forced to use a clamping adapter that is not a very strong attachment to the phone and more importantly there is nowhere to store that necessary clamp once the arm is collapsed making it very likely youâre going to lose a little part necessary for any level of operation.The gimbal is unpredictable and doesnât hold position as well as expected. The motors in the gimbal arm are too weak for using any additional attachments on the phone. The phone will flip on you as youâre panning once the arm will cross the lens, but just panning normally will trigger the flip.I was impressed by the packaging, but the disappointment began once it was not even obvious how to power on the device. (Youâll need to force the arm to flip up, which will feel like youâre about to break your new toy.)
