Excellent for price but limited app functionality on Android
This product is well built and perfect for beginners overall. The DJI mimo app has a lot of features that make shooting and editing easy for beginners like myself, however, the android app compatible is missing features that the Iphone app has such as the ability to adjust shutter speed, ISO and frame rate. The frame rate is locked at 30fps while on iphone you can choose between 24, 30 and 60 to name a few. These issues span the entire list of DJI’s supported samsung devices so the issue is not the device but the app. You can always use your native camera app for higher video quality settings but you just wont have access to the active track feature that is available in the Mimo app. Some 3rd party apps allow for more video control settings but the active track wont be available either.
Overall, great product. Captures stable footage and easy to use. DJI just needs to update the android app. Perfect gimbal for those with iphones.
Tip: you can mount the gimbal on a monopod and fake drone shots. Its surprizingly realistic.

DJI is a good company with great quality products. The Osmo Mobile SE is no different. If you’re thinking about getting the 6, there’s three major differences- battery, startup, and the extension arm. The SE has better battery than the 6 according to DJI’s website. This is a portable product, so the speed of startup is important. On the SE you have to open the Gimbal up (which is extremely quick) and then press and hold the power button for around one second. The 6 starts up right when you open the Gimbal. This saves you maybe one second but probably less and is not a defining factor. The final major difference is that the 6 has an extendable selfie stick built in. This is cool I guess but if it’s important to you, you could buy a monopod as the SE has a 1/4”-20 standard screw hole. Both weigh similar amounts (I would say around a pound) and look very professional and clean. They produce steady smooth video and keep the camera pretty stable. The Mimo app is really cool and has features like motion Timelapses and AI subject tracking but it doesn’t support Apple LOG as far as I’m aware. The video is very balanced though and you don’t need to use the Mimo app if you don’t want, although you lose features when using other camera apps.
