I almost did not buy this because there are negative reviews that this food bowl riser is “flimsy,” “cheap,” or “poorly constructed.” That is unfortunate because nothing is further from the truth.Rather, those that took away stars or panned this stand in their review either (A) did not read the description and/or directions or (B) do not understand what it means when something is purposely manufactured to be ADJUSTABLE.There is something inherently wrong with criticizing an item because it is exactly what it is described as being and has been built to be – but that is what has happened here with the negative reviews.This food bowl riser is DEFINITELY NOT “flimsy,” nor “cheap,” nor “poorly constructed.” Rather, it is ADJUSTABLE, meaning that it will fit a wide range of food bowls of varying size.Given that it is adjustable, that means there MUST be a certain amount of play between the different parts.If it were not so, it could not be adjustable.________________________I have used this riser to feed what is now my very large, 1 year old puppy dog for more than 6 months – 2 or 3 meals per day every day. This food bowl riser is the perfect height for him and as I said, it easily adjusts to fit whatever bowl he eats from.Even as enthusiastic as he gets at mealtime, it has never, not even once, tipped over, been knocked over, nor even slid across the floor. It has steadfastly survived each meal with him eating the food, licking the bowl, licking the riser legs, licking the floor under the bowl/riser, and dancing around the kitchen after finishing the meal.This is made out of sturdy bamboo. It adjusts with 1 hand, folds flat using the included Allen wrench in seconds (well, as long as you do not lose the Allen wrench – it is 4 mm if you do lose it, by the way), and when closed to its smallest footprint, takes up very little room.If you need to lift your dog’s food bowl off the floor to make it easier to eat, this very-well-build riser will do it for you.Very highly recommended.P.S. The large silver ball (Omega Paw Ball, ASIN: B0028QHN3G) is there to slow his eating and prevent bloat.________________________P.P.S. For those that do not like that this riser has a little play between the moving parts, you can always size it to fit your specific dog bowl and then permanently secure the slats together with super-glue, nuts and bolts, clips, or whatever, and that would certainly make it more solid …… but then it would no longer be adjustable, would it?

Great Look and Quality – Cannot Recommend more Highly
These bull stands work great and are the perfect height for our dogs. The adjustable width is really Helpful as you can adjust them to the size of your dog bowl so it doesn’t slip around.Assembly took me under 1 minute per each stand and was very intuitive to set up.These are incredibly sturdy and have survived our dogs tipping them over multiple times (in an attempt to let us know they were hungry).They also look really slick and elevate the look of a typically gross dog bowl. I first saw these at a friend’s house and got them after seeing them in person because they looked so fancy.This is really helpful for dogs that may be older and struggle with bending over in order to eat. We prefer our dogs eating at this height as it is much easier on their joints and better for digestion.

Not durable
I love that this product is adjustable, itâs great for my PetKit fountain, so it can be elevated equally to our food bowls. It isnât the best quality though, itâs not wobbly particularly, but it feels cheap and Iâm unsure how long it will last given water wear overtime, but I havenât had an issue with that so far. Seems easy to clean, as long as it doesnât ruin from the water. Again, I havenât had any issue with water wear, but it doesnât feel like a super durable product so Iâm skeptical. If you need an adjustable table for your pets bowls, I think this is great in terms of price, not sure about longevity. Itâs hard to find this kind of product so I think itâs a great start.

It’s the perfect size for my small Maltipoo. I wish they would have it in a dark brown finish. I first ordered one to try out. I raised her food bowl. I recently ordered the same one to place her water bowl. What I love most is that it fits the size of bowls I already have and it does not wobble. Height is perfect for her. It is not cheaply made. Comes with a screw and L tool as option which I suggest you do. It’s has clear non slips guards already placed on bottom of 4 legs which works great. I greatly recommend this item.

Not sure what the bad reviews were about? This was the most simple thing to put together! Literally two bamboo leg sets that âpuzzleâ together and then put a single screw in (provided you receive one, I did) with the wrench provided. The 4 legs have a hex screw into a flange hex nut flipped upside down in a routed groove. Obviously, not the intended purpose for the design of the flange hex nut, being upside down, there isnât anything to prevent it from spinning when tightening or loosening the allen head screw. Holding the upside down flange hex nut in place with a pair of pliers will work if you really need to rank the screw into place? I havenât had a need to loosen anything since I put it together and I needed nothing but 2 minutes to open it and put it together. Sorry to the low star givers for some of the low reviews, maybe I was fortunate in receiving an anomaly product? Maybe not? Who knows nowadays⦠good luck to you if this review derails your decision making process!

Nice bamboo and good aesthetic, bad attention to detail
Reviewer 1 category: the item is sturdy when put together properly, serves it’s function, and is aesthetically pleasing. I’m planning to keep mine.Reviewer 2 category: the item is not manufactured with enough attention to detail. I have a feeling this depends on the size you order, or the style. Mine is the 16″ for large breed and the bolts are not long enough to reach the nut if applied correctly. Thus the nut either has to go on backward, making it difficult to tighten completely (which would introduce an unsteady/less sturdy build) unless you grab the outside of the flat edge of the nut with a pliers for tightening. OR cut/shave out the holes a little more so the bolt can fit further through to grab the nut in the correct orientation.

I bought this for my Pyrenees/Maremma to make it easier for him to eat, and healthier to. I was going to make something bit then I seen this. It’s exactly how I was going to make it so I figured I’d save me the job and just buy it. So glad I did. It works great. It’s sturdy and doesn’t tip over and it looks good to! It fits my dog’s bowl really well. I would definitely purchase this again
