Extra battery life and a neat camera!
This is my 3rd drone, and so far I’m giddy as can be. My favorite is field flying, because I crash a ton! My drone is holding up to the abuse, though, not a ding in sight.It feels like better quality than my last drone, and it definitely gives me more flying time. The extra battery was a thoughtful touch, because who doesn’t want more fun?I’m not great at maneuvering, but I’m pretty sure it’s a user issue. My sister handled it nice and steady, with zero experience flying. When I took her out there was a mild breeze and she handled it fine, I had all kinds of trouble. That being said, it is easier to keep this one in the air than others I’ve flown.The camera is a fun feature. I’m not very steady with it all, but I bet once I get better at piloting I’ll get some quality footage. The video quality is better than I expected. I am so so thrilled with the low battery indicator! My first drone didn’t have one, and my fun inevitably ended in a long trek to find it, always in some mucky bushes. It’s hard to track the time when you’re living out all your best flying dreams! It’s so nice to get the warning in time to fly back, and avoid mucking around in mystery bushes.Overall this is a great toy to fly for a beginner like me, with enough battery power to really get in some action. It’s held up well to my ineptitude and seems like it’s well-made, small and lightweight but solidly built, and works great! There are enough bells and whistles to keep it exciting, and it’s not super complicated to pick up.Great drone, seems like a good value to me, super fun way to spend some free time!

Brushless motor gets you longer flight time
For the better part of $100, my expectations were a bit high. There are many drones on Amazon that do pretty much all this one does, but at half the price. The devil is usually in the details though. In this case, unlike many smaller cheaper drones, this one has brushless motors. These motors use electronic control for commutation. They are considered to be more efficient and generally get you more fly time per mAh of battery. This one comes with two 7V 3000mAh batteries. They manage to pack that much power in a relatively small package compared to many 2000-3000mAh rc lipo batteries. That gives you a good 25 minutes of actual fly time per battery, depending on how you fly, how windy it is etc. I have many drones at this point, and this one flies about as well as most sub-$100 drones in this category. It doesn’t have GPS so keep it relatively close and low so you can follow it easily. It doesn’t have great wind resistance, a slight breeze with be OK, but a windy day will whisk it away. Since at this price it lacks a gimble, like most small drones with a fixed camera, the video is choppy and certainly not super high quality. That said, it is relatively easy to master and fly. As with all drones, there is a learning curve. The good news is that with these batteries giving you almost a half hour of fly time, you have lots of time to “play” with the controls and get familiar. Unless you’re a drone expert or spend a lot of time with these, you WILL crash many times before you get the hang of it. That’s why they always tell you to go to a large empty field, such as your local high school football field (assuming it’s empty) while you’re learning the ropes. Over all a nice little beginner drone with a few upscale features like brushless motors and larger capacity batteries. Having flown many drones at this point, I recommend this one.
