I purchased this Kinpthy endoscope camera primarily to inspect the underbody of my car, but I quickly realized that it has hundreds of uses beyond that! Easy to set up, with many uses
I have a leak in the roof of my RV, and it was recommended to me that I get this endoscope camera to look up into the ceiling through a light fixture opening, to look around and see where the leak might be coming from. So far I have just unboxed the product, downloaded the app, and tested the camera. It works well, has a nice adjustable light at the end, and has good image quality and focus. You can easily take still photos and videos at the touch of a button. I think this will be quite useful in many places around the house and car, for getting a view of places you can’t normally see. I haven’t tried it in my leak-detection project yet, but I can already see that this item will be useful in many ways, including when trying to find a lost item that has fallen into a hidden space. An essential tool for anyone.

Great Tool at a Great Price
I needed to determine if a dishwasher was leaking thru to the subfloor due to some flooding issues (you couldn’t tell if it was the sink or the dishwasher water lines). I bought this for $30.00 and decided to see if I could get a peek without pulling the dishwasher out. I loaded the software and practiced at my house a few times before heading to the customer. It worked great! I was able to feed it thru some small holes in plywood to get to the sub floor. The probe came with a light and I was able do a “remote” sub floor inspection in less than one hour!. In addition the phone app allowed me to take pictures and send them to the home insurance adjuster increasing the water damage claim Its a great handy tool – I bought a plastic hard case to store it and now I keep it in my traveling special tools bag. I know I will find another use for it and it take up no space in my bag. I would buy again.

A Must have tool
Genuinely an excellent tool that payed for itself the first week of having it. I am in electrical construction and had installed 1/2″ LFMC conduit in masonry as it was being built, week later came back and could not figure out what what was the problem.. ran camera and here is the result. Masons ran rebar straight into it.. But getting a concise and quick diagnosis helped a ton. Considering its low cost and robust and broad application its a must have for me.

Acceptable For Many Applications
There are pros and cons for this borescope. Amazon offers next day delivery and certainly the cost is not excessive.That said the illumination is not sufficient in that you can see the noise in the imager (focal plane) that is mitigated by shining a flashlight to supplement the borescope’s built in LEDs. Note this is a signal to noise issue.From a range of focus and field of regard, I believe these are actually better than expected though again for a longer range supplemental illumination with a wide field of regard is useful and maybe necessary. In other words a bright LED flashlight is your friend.The borescope is able to hold its shape once formed and the thread on accessories is welcome. They appear to be robust not likely to be easily broken though there is a limit what can be done with the hook tool. I suspect the mirror is plastic, though I didn’t test it. Thus protect it from scratches when cleaning.
