I have a colony of p. occidentalis and I’ve been experimenting with different seeds for them. So, for the purpose I purchased these Organic Hemp Seeds, they work wonderfully. They’ve been hulled, so there isn’t any shell that my ants have to deal with. The pieces are small, so they can easily walk them back into their nest from the outworld. And the best part, they actually like them! My colony are picky about the seeds they like, so it’s always a positive when they enjoy something! I haven’t personally eaten any of the seeds myself, but they do appear fresh and they smell nice and earthy.

I love the taste of these. I have ordered several times. They are high in protein and have an almost buttery flavor. Thank you for having them shelled and in a convenient size. I sprinkle them on top of my salad and ziplock them back in their bag. It is a good bag. I hate how sometimes things that come in a ziplock get ruined from opening but, this bag is not like that. Good bag, great product and they taste amazing.
