Amazing Security Camera!
I absolutely love this camera! Very easy and quick to install. Motion detection is great along with the quality of the videos. Has very nice features like Ai tracking. Picture quality is great. One thing is that there is a little bit of lag in the replays when the camera moves but overall not that bad. I would definitely recommend!

Great camera with lots of capabilities
There are way too many cameras available, and I did the minimal amount of research before buying. So I feel I got lucky on great this camera is. Here’s what I like about it:- PTZ camera that allows you to see a very wide view from left to right, and up and down.- Solar panel and battery. The app lets you toggle between the two if you need. The solar panel was easy to set up, and the extension cable provided is pretty long. But it’s a USB-C so you could get a longer one if you needed.- ability to record to micro SD card- the camera is easy to mount.- relatively easy installation. It took me several tries to get it to connect but eventually it did. Could have been my fault, not sure.- Image zoom in (8x) is really good- There are 4 preset camera positions.- The iphone app is good- You can view your camera feed from anywhere through the app- not just when you are in the same location. When you are outside your network, you do need to use cell data.- There is no remote control per se, just your phone.Anyway, I really like this product and would buy another should I need to get one.

No batteries
This is the 3rd of its kind I have purchased. Very clear, easy to set up, no batteries and the footage is great. The value for the price point is on point.

Great Security camera
I bought this for my front and side yard. I thought I would have to buy 2 cameras but this one can swivel 360 degrees so it can do both. It does a great job of picking up movement and auto tracking the person. It can also be set up to ignore dogs and cars so it isn’t going off all the time. The solar cell does a great job of keeping it charged. It was easy to set up as well. I highly recommend this camera

Did my research online and watched many YouTube reviews, so when my Eufy SoloCam E30 arrived, I was ready. It activated with my new account effortlessly, and paired without a hitch to my smart assistant. Once it got a bit warmer, I was able to get up to the gutter and install the gutter mount for the camera. It was done in 2 minutes! The only thing I had to add was a bit of of a stabilizing foam shim between the gutter and the mount because the weight of the camera/solar panel is substantial. It works like a charm, even picking up and sending a notifiction for the arrival of the Amazon delivery man bringing me my SECOND Eufy Solocam E30 which I purchased immediately, because I was so satisfied with the first one. I have fixed security cams in place but they do not offfer the possibility of 360 degree pan as well as tilt! Great product, recommend strongly!

It really is a great camera. Tracks everything that it needs to however the solar panel is not strong enough to fully charge the camera. If it’s at all busy at night it can kill the camera before next morning light gets to it.

This is my second Eufy camera, with my first being a dual-camera doorbell, which has been amazing.I love what Eufy has done in the security space, and while I’ve had a lot of experience with a few of their competing products, Eufy nails so much with this camera.Some of the things I really love:- Installation of both the hardware and software pairing were very easy.- The solar panel can be mounted on the camera, or further away using the included extension cable.- The AI tracking has been working very well, and tracking is super fast and very quiet.- The 2k resolution is excellent.- The wifi performance is phenomenal. I connected this camera to the same 2.4 GHz wifi hotspot as my other security cameras and tested the range for performance. With my other security cameras (other brand), I can get them installed just outside of my house, but that seems to be the limit as streaming performance is poor. But with this E30, I went across my rather large backyard, right to the back fence, and was able to live stream in near real-time! Unbelievable.- Eufy, thankfully, allows you to see a thumbnail inside of the notification, so you don’t have to enter the app unless you want to view the clip. This feature does require you to use Eufy’s cloud, which breaks the “local only” benefit, but in my opinion, it’s well worth it!- You can run this camera as local only, with both the AI detection and videos being handled in the camera.- The 360 PTX is actually 360 degrees, but it does have its limit when viewing “up”. It’s best to mount this camera high, and aim it low.- I love how many settings it gives you for sensitivity, capture zones, privacy areas, etc.- Being battery operated, I also love that you get several options for running this camera to prioritize battery life, recording length, or customize the record intervals to your liking.- There’s a solar dashboard in the app, which is very cool! It shows you the battery level per day, how much power you were able to recover using the solar panel, and it gives you a total for energy stored over time. While this doesn’t directly impact the use of this camera, it’s an interesting feature that I’m glad Eufy included.- You’re able to set preset areas to quickly move the camera. And you get a panorama option, where it will take a panorama of the area the camera can see, and you can click on where you want the camera to look. Setting a default preset will send the camera back to it after the AI tracking ends. I really like this feature.- You do have the ability to snooze notifications through the app. This can come in handy when you want to silence the notifications during a time when there will be a lot of movement near the camera.Here’s what I think could be better:- I get a lot of false alarms at night. No matter the sensitivity, the camera will notify me of movement when any bit of dust, rain, or insect moves in front of the camera. You can tell it only to notify you when it sees a human or vehicle, but I do like to capture “other movement” (i.e. wildlife), so this isn’t a solution. By comparison, none of my Reolink cameras have this issue.- While the night vision with infrared is very good (excellent, actually), it doesn’t have colour night vision like some other brands now offer. Not a deal-breaker, but it can help to identify vehicle colours or the colour of someone’s clothing when you have colour night vision.- When storing captures on the included microSD card (which is accessible from the top of the ball of the camera, which is pointed downwards), theft of the card would result in the loss of ALL your captures. I believe that Eufy’s Homebase might allow you to store captures there, but I don’t have one to confirm.- There’s no option to save to an FTP, which would mitigate the above issue. Competing brands have offered this in many of their camera models.- The solar panel is pretty underpowered compared to panels I’ve received with cameras from other brands. This isn’t a problem during summer sunlight, but it will be challenging over the winter.- As an outdoor security camera, this is design is more vulnerable to vandalism (i.e thrown rocks) compared to a dome or bullet camera.- I would have loved to have seen other mounting options, like a strap to mount this to a tree or pole.- I’d like to see better notification options for time of day, “cool off” period, etc. Sometimes, especially with more than one camera, the notifications get a little overwhelming.Despite all the cons, this is still an excellent camera, and it’s easily one of the best in its class.Not relying on a subscription (cloud storage is optional) is a very strong selling feature, and I hope that Eufy continues to focus on “local only” features and products.
