Less Than Expected
Bought this case to carry my tools and safety gear to and from my worksites around the country. Reviews looked good. Size was excellent. Looked equivalent to a pelican case. Received case and was pleased with the look and quality of the case. Loaded it up with my tools and gear. Took off on its maiden voyage. Unfortunately it did not do as well as I had expected it to. When I picked it up from baggage claim, it had a broken latch, and a broken hinge. ( I can only assume that the hinge was broken by TSA as they inspected it and perhaps over extended the lid when they opened it.) It wasnât until my trip home that I found out the handle on the bottom of the case, while standing upright, or the left side of the case laying on its bottom, was completely broken off its hinges as well as a crack alongside the hinge location. I was not pleased to say the least. Now I expected bumps and bruises from traveling on a plane, but was not prepared for what I got after only one trip. Definitely going to look for a different case to continue my travels.

Great box but some limitations
I purchased this to move tech gear to and from work locations. The box itself is great. Been sent fedex a few times and it holds up well. The foam inside is the tearable kind, so if you space things to close, the foam will separate in between the items. I had 3 projectors with 2 squares gap, they tore causing me to have to glue. Also, the handle is not as sturdy as a pelican. It bends as you tip the box. Overall I like it and have ordered a second, but I learned to minimize the weight put into the box.

Huge and not as durable as you’d like
Bought two of the 31.5″ Eylar foam filled cases to carry equipment from location to location via commercial airlines. The pictures and reviews I’d read looked good. The two cases showed up and one was broken in transit. Should have been my first clue. Sent it back and took its undamaged twin on a trip with a connecting flight. Upon reaching my final destination, the case looked like it was two years, not two flights old. One of the latches was broken, many of the stiffener ribs on the sides of the case were broken at the ends. Two flights. I get it that commercial baggage handlers aren’t careful with the cargo, but when you pay this much for a case to protect gear in transit, it needs to hold up much better. The material itself is obviously flawed or at least was in the creation of these two pieces.Another note on this case in particular, it’s heavy. Empty. At 39lbs, you’re 11 lbs away from paying a fee on most commercial airlines. 11 lbs of camera gear isn’t a whole lot, so yes, I had to pay a premium to get it there and back.
