Plastic pegs snap off, Band doesnât stay on after awhile
I love Fitbits- have had two now and like the functionality of the app. I didnât use mine for texting but was happy with the heart rate monitoring and step counting. However, after about 8 months, the plastic pegs that hold the bands on snapped off. This is the second time it has happened. First time, I bought the Fitbit at Costco and they gave me a full refund. I decided to take a leap of faith and order the same one here on Amazon (Costco was out of this version) and I liked how slender it was. Figured it was a fluke the first time, but it happened again. I contacted Fitbit customer service through the Fitbit app, and they replaced the part with a new watch face in a matter of a couple of days. Iâm so happy with the quality and speed of the service and the watch face seems improved to the last one. Happy to still use my Fitbit!

Works perfectly
This is one of fitbit’s best products and the only thing you need to know is the band where it attaches to the watch body is plastic and will break within a year or two. You have to decide if the cost is worth it knowing the watch will break and be unreparable within 2 years.

Fitbit Charge 4 Tracker
I had a fitbit charge 4 previously and some of the features on this one are different. Need to review the Users Manual to become more familiar. I ordered this particular Fitbit because i have many accessory bands for it and these bands ate useless for any other tracker.

Defective item
I have had a fitbit Charge 4 for years. I liked the simplicity and ease of use, as well as the 7 day battery life. So, I took a chance and ordered a new Charge 4 even though it is several model years old. Big mistake! Initially, the new charge 4 synched to the Fitbit App and everything was fine. But then, after a week, it would lock up and never finish synching. I restarted the app, re-paired the device and finally did a hard reboot while charging. It worked again for 2 days, then suddenly stopped recording my steps. I did another hard reboot and it worked for 1.5 days. Then, it stopped recording steps again and the heart monitor stopped working. And then many other things started displaying bad information. At that point, I gave up and returned the defective device. I’ll be moving to an Apple Watch SE. So sad as I loved my Charge 4 and really hoped it was a device that I could keep using for the future.

Love my Fitbit!
I have had 2 previous Charge 4 fitbits and liked them. They didn’t always count the steps you did. This one counts each of your steps precisely. This is the best one I have had.

You’re Going to Get Maybe a Year Out of It
This is my 3rd (and last) Fitbit Charge 4. Purchased the first in a store and it gave up after about a year-battery wouldn’t charge and it just quit. 2nd one-same thing: Lasted until just after the warranty period and then quit. This one that I purchased from Amazon has lasted me(wait for it) all of 10 months and sure enough the battery is dying. I’ve turned the GPS to the recommended setting (which I’ve never changed since I bought it and yet some how it’s now on ‘Dyanmic’) and reset the thing twice and no luck. Still won’t hold a charge for more than 3 hours.Got hold of Fitibit support and of course had to go through all the things I’d already done to have them say, ‘Gee, we’ll submit a warranty ticket.’ The best they could do last time was give me a discount on a new tracker.Honestly, I like the Charge 4 and the app. They sync well and they track all the information I want to track. But the Charge 4 as a product seems to have a planned obsolescence that stretches to just after the warranty period and then you’re just out of luck. I quit Garmin because I wasn’t going to pay $89 to replace the band on a $100 tracker and Fitibit bands are super easy to replace.I guess I’ll look around beyond Fitbit.
