VERY GRITTY PRODUCT
These ground Chia seeds were so gritty in my smoothies, that it tasted like dirt was stirred in with it. Also the taste, which I am used to be neutral, was a bit unpleasant. Upshot – after trying 3 or 4 smoothies with this product, and even waiting 20 min for the chia seeds to swell properly – ended up pouring the last smoothie down the drain – and throwing out the package of Food to Live Organic Chia Seed Flour.

Tastes like dirt and rancid
This is the second supplier i’ve used where the flavor is like dirt and also rancid. I’ve been adding chia seeds to smoothies for over 10 years. Have bought from over 5 different suppliers. I would have thought it might have just been this batch. But i now see other reviewers have found the same. Normally, i love the mild flavor of ground chia.

Read Review!
I’m giving 5 stars because this product is quality and exactly as described. In my honest opinion, as a baker, I find the grittiness of this product undesirable. In smoothies as well, the grit is very unpleasant.
Michael R. –
Do the research on chia and you’ll know it’s a definite power food. However, most people buy it in whole seed form and don’t realize it is better absorbed when milled. This brand is a good quality and good size, plus milled for the price.

this looks and smells like coffee… i think it is momstly coffee and just alittle chia as the water when mixed does gets very slighlty oily, just a little though.a waste of money but a whole lot of coffee if you drink!
