Not a POS!!
Okay, when I was putting this together I thought this was an absolute POS, the instructions don’t make sense, it’s not a one person project, the cardboard felt flimsy. BUT! Once I got the back piece on with the help of my partner, it actually started to become more stable. Definitely add all the scratch boards to each level because that (with the backing) makes it a solid castle. I didn’t follow the directions because the pieces aren labeled correctly, so I just went off of the pictures. Once it was all put together I hot glued it to make sure nothing comes undone. My cats are heavy (14 lbs & 17 lbs) and the cardboard holds them well. Definitely recommend!! The price is a little steep for cardboard but my cats love it and it seems like it’ll last a while.

Cat Approved
Shockingly sturdy, my cats are both large at roughly 16lbs and it supports them scampering up and down. Quite tall with relatively small footprint. Easy to assemble, slightly time consuming at roughly 20-30 minutes for one person.Paired it with the Country House model. Will probably end up building a village.

Cute, but a pain
My cats like it. Thatâs about where it ends. I would not buy it again. The instructions are horrible. If you follow them, you will not be able to put it together. All of the pieces are labeled with the wrong numbers. When you get to the end (putting on the sides) you canât! It doesnât line up, because the instructions are wrong. I had to take it apart numerous times & put it together simply from trial & error. It took me 2 hours and I wanted to throw it out! Do not use the directions! Just start off using your own common sense & it will be done faster. Also the top scratcher rectangles constantly slide off. I braced them with clips. Itâs pretty sturdy, but it creaks a lot. I donât see it lasting that long with 2 very active cats.

Pieces missing and board a bit flimsy
I was excited to receive the tower, but when I opened the box there were no instructions. I googled âhow toâ videos on putting it together. As I was going through, I noticed pieces missing and some of the cardboard is flimsy and not staying together. I messaged the seller and am now waiting for a reply.Iâm a bit upset since this is expensive cardboard boxes ð*update: Iâve messaged the seller multiple times asking for a replacement. They finally sent a product that was not this product. I am asking for a refund.

5 Stars but…..
Pros and cons. I’ll start with the cons first:1. Expensive. It’s pretty pricy.2. The pieces are labeled wrong and don’t match the instructions. Fortunately, the graphics in the instructions can help you through. For the price, I’d like it to be easier to assemble.Pros:1. The cats love this thing. Seriously, it gets more use than their other cat stuff. One of my girls pretty much lives in this thing.2. Once you get it assembled. It’s pretty sturdy and the first one I had lasted 3 months before I decided to toss it. I wasn’t going to spend the money on another one but the cat’s missed it.3. Comes with a lot of extra scratch pads which I’ve been able to put into smaller boxes for them to enjoy. It’s a good product but it is pretty large so if you live in a small apartment like I do, it takes up some real estate and it’s not the prettiest thing to look at. I do recommend not putting the very top piece on if you don’t need it. I have mine set up next to one of their tall cat trees and they jump between the two and caved in the the “roof” on the first day. LOL This is one of those “gotcha” products that are marketed to pet owners. You don’t want it but then you see how much they love it and….Gotcha! I recommend this product for sure.

Awesome!!
So I have five cats and I love to spoil them, so I bought them the castle. I was very reluctant buying it simply because I think the price was not justifiable since the product probably might not last long, but my husband convinced me. I built it by myself. I don’t understand why the reviews complain about the build. The instructions were so easy to follow and I was able to build it in like an hour, keep in mind I’m 5’0 so this thing is almost as tall as me. Some corners did come a bit bent but nothing too annoying. I love that the castle comes with accessories and customizable cardboard toys. Most of all, my cats are super happy with it. I honestly have no idea how long it’ll last. I’ll leave an update to test the durability of this product because $93 is a lot and I want this thing to be worth it.7 Month Update:The last picture kind of roughly shows what it looks like now, and I don’t see this castle being brought down any sooner. I have a cat that likes to leave bite marks but she doesn’t rip anything off, so the integrity of the build is fine. My cats beat the crap out of this thing jumping and scratching on it all the time. Definitely worth the price!
