    Bright awesome lights!
We’ve had four of these installed outside for three years now and no problems. They get hammered with snow all winter and brutal heat during summer. They are super bright and have outlasted our Pentair pool lights. We installed with the Tuya Smart app and synced with Google home & Alexa. Definitely would purchase again! Pics from a few days ago.

Great smart bulbs, doesn’t work with 3-way as claims
Easy setup, love the color selection. The only complaint I have is that it says it works with 3-way lighting and I’ve found that one of my switches no longer works to turn the lights on and off, only works from Alexa commands.

    Expensive, but Reliable
I’ve tried smart bulbs using AvatarControls, Smart Home – Smart Life, Tuya Smart, and other management apps. GE’s Cync app is by far the best, and their line of smart bulbs are my gold standard. Unfortunately, they’re priced accordingly. So long as I remember to temporarily disable 5GHz on my router, I’ve never had any issues pairing or resetting a Cync bulb. Unlike other manufacturers, they eschew AP Mode, so I’ve never had to wrestle with switching to a Wi-Fi network served out of the smart device. The one caveat is that these bulbs run warm, uncomfortably warm to the touch. I’d think twice before installing them in a closed fixture. Aside from that, they’re dazzlingly bright, easy to manage from the Cync app, and rock-steady reliable. If only they weren’t so expensive…

App control is HORRIBLE! Wish I’d bought Philips
The bulbs themselves are OK and plenty bright BUT they must be controlled by the app. I’m using the app on an Apple phone. The app simply doesn’t work right. Sometimes the lights don’t come on, sometimes they are a different color from what was set. Sometimes some come on and others don’t. When trying to rectify, the app often crashes. I spent two hours on the phone with customer support trying to fix the problems and it got better but not by much—and it quickly returned to working worse. I was trying to save a couple hundred bucks by buying these over the Philips Hue bulbs, but that decision was shooting myself in the foot. I’m stuck with these now and wish I had the Philips. General Electric used to be a major brand, now they aren’t any better than a cheap no-name brand. Save yourself a headache, bite the bullet, spend more on the Philips.

    Good Light, Inconsistent Results
The lights took a long time to install, but I was able to get good help from the support staff (had to delete my house off the app and redo it all). The lights work well about 75% of the time. They will turn on when they are supposed to and turn off when they are supposed to… except for when they don’t. For reasons that aren’t clear sometimes they’ll stay on all night, or all day. It’s not a huge hassle to fix (go in to the app, manually force it), but the whole point of them having schedules is to do this automatically. I really do like them, I just wish they would work better.

    Love these lights
I did have a bit of a challenge getting them connected to my WiFi. Alexia found the first one with no problem. After a few tries I discovered that I had to use the same socket to connect all four to wifi and then move them to their respective sockets and voila!
