I love licorice candy. The complex, spicy, slightly bitter yet sweet flavor of licorice lights up my brainâs pleasure centers. Yet so many licorice candies are mainly wheat-based, and I donât digest wheat products very well.This kind of licorice is free from wheat as well as high fructose corn syrup. Itâs as close to natural as licorice candies get. The flavor is delightful – just sweet enough, just sharp enough, a perfect flavor balance. Itâs far better than typical average wheat-based licorice. Probably the best Iâve had. Plus it looks like a cute Scotty dog.Iâm gonna be very brand-loyal to this type of licorice from now on. Four paws up – even my dog says âawesome!!â (even tho she isnât a Scotty).

Ingredients were disappointing
You’ll notice that they do not show the ingredients in their photos of product. I appreciate full disclosure because a lot of us are wanting to avoid GMO’s in the products we put into our bodies and maybe this is why the backside is not shown. I took a chance. My packages held soft, chewy Scotties so if that is all you need in a snack, I would recommend. But for those of us who actively are eliminating certain oils and certainly GMO products from our diets, I cannot recommend these tasty treats.
